Re: Carlisle United vs Barrow AFC Match Thread
My 1st half assessment:
*Totally agree, Men v Boys
*Not the Ian Evatt attractive passing team of last season.
*More like a Paul Cox hoof ball, no shape team.
*Central defenders MUST challenger headers in the box.
* If no Platt, get Zouma in.
*Angus poor once again with his few chances. Goes from bad to worse each week.

Only just. Carlisle 73% Barrow 27% of headers won.saltcellar wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 3:50 pm Have Barrow actually won a header anywhere on the pitch today?
We are getting out jumped everywhere.
Don't let the old man in.

Angus for me, is playing better than any other games this season. Not saying he's having a particularly good game but his others were dreadful. Took a while to get going last season too but IE stuck with himSayitagainSam wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 3:53 pm My 1st half assessment:

Got slaughtered on here when I said Dunn is not up to the job, completely uninspiring , signings no better than we have in the main and no apparent game plan, keep him in charge and we'll go down
Re: Carlisle United vs Barrow AFC Match Thread
Apart from Dixon every other player is rubbish, to many fouls , giving the ball away to much, not winning headers and sloppy defending, need massive change for the second half.

Even our good players are playing badly today! Hopefully Kay will be on very soon but struggling badly in midfield. Toure and James both left Hartlepool on free transfers. No doubt which club got the best deal!
Re: Carlisle United vs Barrow AFC Match Thread
By the sound of it I'm glad I didn't pay £10 to watch that, seems like we're light all over the park, thought we'd signed "quality" players, or can't/haven't gelled ??saltcellar wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 3:50 pm Have Barrow actually won a header anywhere on the pitch today?

Too early to say. I'm sure if Barrow had won 100% of games and played like Brazil you wouldn't be on here saying how wrong you were. Just be patient and see what happensPaulmichael wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 3:56 pm Got slaughtered on here when I said Dunn is not up to the job, completely uninspiring , signings no better than we have in the main and no apparent game plan, keep him in charge and we'll go down

Re: Carlisle United vs Barrow AFC Match Thread
Need to credit Carlisle's tactics - playing exactly as their manager said they would and allowing Barrow no chance to settle.
Re: Carlisle United vs Barrow AFC Match Thread
Agree Angus been our stand out with the half chances he’s had, pace causing problems but we just can’t push on enough in their half of the pitch

Too many long balls not retaining possession
The odd times we have retained possession we have looked like opening them up
We are getting pulled apart on the flanks

Re: Carlisle United vs Barrow AFC Match Thread
Seems like Barrow are heading for a tonking unless the formation changes ...Connor Brown is being done time after time .
Come on lads you need to show some BARROVIAN METAL and PRIDE here .
Get down the bottom of the table and it'll be a struggle to get out of it on this showing.

Rubbish! Same as last week at Newport, all over the place and passing is so poor. The art of boot and run is not dead. Could be 4 - 0 here.
