Re: Carlisle United vs Barrow AFC Match Thread
Absolutely devoid of ideas or a coherent game plan.
Don't let the final 30minutes against 10 men cloud judgement, that was dreadful. Very worried about what this season will bring based on what i've seen so far.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expect a different result
Dunn needs to address we have no midfield and Quigley is ineffective because he has to keep coming back and getting the ball
How many games and no win ,excuses we will not meet the likes of Blackpool or Derby was the excuse,.
If we get beat I will accept that but not fiddling while Rome burns

Don’t panic,Dunn’s will probably sign another defender this week,Scott Quigley must be so hacked off with the lack of service from the mediocre players around him.No passion,no leader no excuses.

Fancy going into a higher division and not replacing your goal scoring midfielder and not having strengthened the forwards only bringing in worse than what we had and why offer hindle a deal he isnt league 2 level we havent strengthened enough that is showing now recruitment has been poor who picked these signings
Re: Carlisle United vs Barrow AFC Match Thread
Dreadful.
We offer nothing as an attacking threat when Quigley is quiet. Plenty of good situations in the final third but we don't make the most of them. Slow and ponderous.
We're very frustrating to watch at the moment.

Another forward would of made naff all difference today if you are hemmed in and can’t provide the service your always gonna be up against it! Agree about the lack of leadership on the pitch though

it was always goto be a battle to stay up thats why I couldn't Believe people thinking we would be midtable to higher who ever did the scouting of some of these signings needs laying off
Re: Carlisle United vs Barrow AFC Match Thread
Why are we trying to pass the ball in the net ? Angus 3 chances 3 poor efforts! Brown just passes back all the time. Got to say that was boring to watch esp 1st half. Ref was pretty awful for both sides and Hardcastle looks stuck for ideas when hes in front of goal. Service esp free kicks are [SwearFilter] poor tbh ! Said it before we need a proven goal scorer to help out. Poor defensive judgement leading to their goal yet again....it'll take time to gel and Platt and Zouma will make a difference at the back but going forward im not sure we've replaced Rooney and White

In my view it’s not so much the players being poor but more the fact that they are working with a management team that are not exactly filling them with confidence and also don’t seem to have much of an identity. I don’t like to mention the IE era but at least he had the players believing they were world beaters and had a style and identity and way of playing, when it comes to DD it all just seems a bit ‘half ar$ed in comparison. Yes we need some more attacking options but we also need some more passion from the management I think.

Re: Carlisle United vs Barrow AFC Match Thread
Not sure what was worse. Mark Boyd banging on about the size of the pitch.Or, sniffing all the way through the game. Bloody annoying and rude.
Re: Carlisle United vs Barrow AFC Match Thread
I know let's sign a few more defenders because our midfield and forwards are brilliant, that was bloody awful.
Re: Carlisle United vs Barrow AFC Match Thread
Cannot take any positives out of this at all. The way we played, the injury, the result. A bad day all round.
Everything we did as a creative side last season has been unpicked. We have stopped building from the back and totally lack creativity in midfield. But of course we are trying to be a League 2 side. Its going to be a season of headers and set pieces because it looks like that is what successful L2 football is about and Dunn is trying to get us the same. Its not good to watch.

Just genuinely lost for words.... everything we were last season seems to have gone right out the window..... no identity, no confidence or good football, long season.
