BARROW V Orient match thread
Re: BARROW V Orient match thread
Imagine if we were in the ground then, these performances would be personified..... people are paying good money for this "football" we have every right to be [SwearFilter] off.

Re: BARROW V Orient match thread
The first half was ok, but the second was dire, we we're at home against a team down to 10 men and the majority of the passes were sideways or backwards ffs get at em!
Just my opinion
Re: BARROW V Orient match thread
1st 45min we were best team but not many chances. 2nd half for 40 min we looked poor and lacked leadership (Hardcastle isn't screaming hes a no 10 for me) then last 10 min its all us and missing a sitter again ! Jones was miles better than Angus today but both just don't look like scoring much tbh. I just can't wait for Quigley, Platt, Nlthe and the new striker to be fit and available because we'd be a different team but we need that playmaker in midfield

Absolutely grim to watch at the moment. I hope to hell the new striker we have signed can finish because the players we had out today were terrible. Zouma played well and thats about as much positive I can muster up.
Steve Herbert supports the nob theory - Saturday 4th February 2012.
If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.

Draws at home and narrow defeats away. Certainly competitive, which was after all David Dunn's mission statement. Sadly that would inevitably see us relegated.
Being unable to win at home against an average team with ten men for 82 minutes is a very bad look.

These are the same comments every game. The fact we went one up against 10 men and still couldn't put the game to bed is alarming. We cant keep saying oh it will all be ok when Quigley, Nthle, Platt are fit. This team cannot rely on a few to win

Re: BARROW V Orient match thread
Pretty shambolic, I'm afraid but nothing I didn't expect when I saw the team. We won't beat anybody until our missing best players are back. Today's team had nothing in midfield and nothing up front. Chris Taylor seems to impress some people but I'm not one of them. I expect to see a midfield player on the ball a lot more than half a dozen times in a game. Hardcastle had a poor game by his standards but everything goes through him. The others are pedestrian. Angus, I'm afraid, is getting worse instead of better. James played O.K. for 20 mins at the start and 10 mins at the end but did nothing in between. As usual the best players were those from last season i.e. Dixon, Brough, Barry, Kay and Hardcastle plus Zouma who played very well. Unlike somebody on here, I thought Beadling did quite well until he almost made a complete shambles of trying to control the ball instead of heading it clear. I just hope our new forward turns out to be decent because, even with Quigley, we'll struggle to score if he isn't. The fluent football from last season is already almost a distant memory and John Rooney scored 2 today so after 3 games has half our team total from 5 games!

We are all very concerned but, If I was on the Board I would be very, very concerned.
