These are the same comments every game. The fact we went one up against 10 men and still couldn't put the game to bed is alarming. We cant keep saying oh it will all be ok when Quigley, Nthle, Platt are fit. This team cannot rely on a few to win

I'm afraid the main problem is midfield. Where last season we were quick and got forward with pace, this season we are pedestrian. The ball is now passed backwards and sideways at a very slow pace allowing the opposition to stroll back into defensive positions. We've lost 2 players who moved quickly and passed quickly in Rooney and White and replaced them with 2 from Mike Jones, Chris Taylor, Beadling and Biggins who are ponderous and hardly ever play a forward pass.

I'll have to disagree with him then. I've not seen any team we've played yet who looked particularly impressive.

Hes signed his own players, he cant stockpile anymore. Wouldn’t suprise me if the Board drove some of these signings though like James and certainlu Beadling due to having a Barrow connection. Rob Kelly the coaching genius seemingly short of the task too, can’t they see 5-3-2 is just not good enough at 1-0 up against 10. Should be killing the game off. Not killing the fans off.

I find a sense of irony there as our best players are the ones who played in the national league and the players he's brought in are all from (apart from james jones) are from league's 1 and 2 !

Mistakes are being punished and the mistakes are coming from all over platt is nt going to stop that. Missing open goals in quiggs against colchester and kay today.

The defence did ok today, it was the messing about in midfield that gave the goal away. Lack of creativity from midfield to provide decent chances for the forwards and we didn't have a forward that looked like scoring anyway. Angus's time definitely running out IMO.

We were used to seeing plenty of goals last season and it is very frustrating to see the laboured way we are trying to create chances now.

Still think if Quigley plays most of the season we’ll stay up (and hopefully now everyone has realised that is all we will do)
Only watched the last twenty minutes or so today; tremendous tackle from Brough to save a point........then Kay should have won it at the other end. Still just feel the midfield is too similar, Hardcastle drives forwards a few yards then gives it to Biggins or Jones then gets it back and on and on; it’s too stale and teams will soon figure it out and how to set up against it. Not the first time I’ve said this but Luke James isn’t good enough; nice lad and a grafter, certainly not a League Two striker, hopefully the new lad will soon be match fit
Wasn’t impressed by the Dunn appointment at the time and still willing to give him a chance but Christ you wouldn’t want him going to war with you, no motivation there

TBF, most teams do well initially when promoted because they have 'momentum'. We had no momentum due to Covid, then Evatt's departure. It would probably have been so much different if we had finished the season as normal (and pipped Harrogate of course) and had continuity with Evatt.

There's only James Jones and Ntlhe that look anywhere near the same level as last season's players, IMO, although Zouma looked decent today but we need to see a few more games before making a reasonable judgement.

Sadly his record isn't looking good and getting increasingly worse by the game.
