Well, there are not many things you can really guarantee in life are there?.
Except for one thing-Bolton will come here on Tuesday night and get their three points.
What are we/what are the board keep going to do, keep looking forward to the next game because we might have Quigley playing, or maybe Courtney?.
The writing is on the wall-its plain to see for everyone that this team just aint up to it. What more proof do people need. Look at the injury situation for a start, its worse than shocking. There is something seriously wrong which needs immediate attention before it becomes to late.

DD’s midfield signings have been pish M Jones,Beadling, Wiggins and Gribbin all look well short of being decent L2 midfielders who can boss and control a game. No improvement what so ever from last seasons midfield, infact a lot weaker. Midfield is where you win and lose games and our midfield is poor really really poor.

I'm not an advocate of changing managers willy nilly before I type the rest and I hope Dunn can turn this around. The moment we lost Evatt our momentum was slashed. We should've took stock and looked at candidates that were experienced in this league. I'm all for taking risks as look at what the IE brought us but budget cutting in the National League is a different scenario to losing our manager after being promoted to L2.

I'm not for sacking managers so quickly, but frankly the board probably need to admit they've made a huge mistake in appointing Dunn. I worried about their reasoning for appointing him at the time and he's done nothing to convince me since.

I am quite sure that he's a nice bloke, but his whole persona is not great. He seems to lack confidence in himself even, and I'm not sure he has any real plan. Read or watch any interview he gave before he got this job and he speaks of liking the coaching side but not being interested in management. He comes across even now as someone who is just giving it a go, and if it doesn't work out then it's no big deal to him.

Problem with that is it is a big deal, to us. Imagine we go down this season, our only football league season in most of our lifetimes is like this. Unthinkable.

There is too much at stake not to act decisively and quickly, and it's getting very close to the point for me where we need the board to do that where Dunn is concerned.

Plus, yeah Gribbin may not be on everyone's must start list but why isn't he on the bench? Angus is the only attacker out of the 6 we named there.

Going to ask for my £10 back on the basis Barrow AFC mis-represented themselves as being a football team.

Didn't see the game ( constant circle ) and listened to some commentary . Another loss and reading this thread doesn't make good reading.

You'll get a fiver back on the basis that Harrogate looked a little bit like a football team

Dunn has been unfortunate with injurys so far this season so I wouldn't push the panic button until we get a run with a fully fit squad, My worry is of the signings this summer Ntlhe, J. Jones & M.Jones have looked ok, the rest the rest don't look nearly league 2 standard & without Quigley we look like we are going into a knife fight with a spoon. Fingers crossed we can scrape win on Tuesday night against Bolton
Just my opinion

Comment on Jones last February from a Carlisle fan:

Totally agree with everything said about Mike. The consummate pro, always gives 100%, never hides, would be great to see him still here next season and beyond, if Chris Beech and David Holdsworth have the chance re-sign him asap, you always need a guy like him in the squad, totally dependable.

Its the same shit every game, pathetic, no enthusiasm for the shirt, no creativity, when we do create something we can't finish it and we give away a stupid goal. Harrogate should have scored many more yet the only goal they did manage (which was always going to be enough) was a lobbed ball over everyone and then Dixon getting done on his near post.

Dixon: Made some good saves but the one which should have been routine ended up costing us a share of the spoils.

Platt: Without his presence things could have been much, much worse.

Brough: Pretty anonymous, I suppose that's a bit positive when you see how many errors others were making.

Zouma: Absolute calamity, needless fouls every 5 minutes and rightly subbed off.

Barry: Worst player on the pitch by a country mile, clearly didn't have his mind on the game and numerous [SwearFilter] ups which we were fortunate didn't get punished any more than the defeat we deserved. Hope he doesn't play again until his head is right because something is amiss with him.

Chris Taylor: One of the better players on the pitch but that doesn't say much.

Hardcastle: Hope he isn't injured long as he was controlling the game until that reckless [SwearFilter] Lloyd Kerry took him out.

Beadling: Only signed because he's "local". Not good enough.

Nthle: Did bits without being spectacular.

Kay: One of the more creative aspects and better players but his finishing is [SwearFilter] poor, he should have scored 2 sitters in the last 2 games.

James: Runs a lot but was always up against it with what we offered our attack today.

Jason Taylor: Not great but again didn't play as bad as some.

Dior Angus: Needs to brush up on his finishing, for a striker his return is [SwearFilter] poor.

Harrison Biggins: I'll drive him back to Fleetwood personally. Nowhere near good enough, gives the ball away every time he gets the thing. He will be playing about 3 leagues below the National League in a few years.

Despite Dunn not being there today, its plain to see hes brought in a load of crap, crocks and unwanted players. Ill see how the new signings, who for whatever reason aren't playing yet, bed in and if they change anything but I am very pessimistic that anything will change. I hope we don't leave it too long because if we end up missing out on watching us live in the EFL because a calamitous appointment took us straight back down I fear we wouldn't ever return.

As usual summed up succinctly from Kieran
Southend will go down so there is one relegation slot available; all those with their heads in the clouds discussing promotion again etc etc at the start of the season even now must realise we have to do whatever it takes to stay up this year. If that means a couple more games for Dunn and no wins then he has to go then so be it
I’m genuinely not sure many people were convinced about him taking the job, would love to know why the board were so sure
