It's not the competing we need to be beating them

I once saw both Altrincham and Watford play at Holker street we more than competed .Half time in both games 0-0 we ended getting beat 4-0 in each game.
Everyone keeps saying we have nothing to fear in this league 2 wins out of 12 speaks volumes

Hird seems to be struggling in this league ,oh did anyone mention we need a midfield player to feed Quigs or James.
I would rather address this now do not want a end of Season like we did with Ady Pennock

Finally managed to watch the second half !
One word, Brilliant.

Go on the Cambridge website and listen to that complete tool of a manager. "It felt like a defeat at the end conceding so late: Our goal was taken really well, etc, etc. Not one word about how they were outplayed and outclassed. Complete southern nob. No class. I feel for DD and the players tonight. We are better than most teams in this league football wise. The luck or whatever stops us being in the top 3 needs to change somehow. Anyway, great performance lads.

Bit of perspective, we've played 2nd in the league away, were completely comfortable, gifted them the lead with an individual mistake, dominated the remainder of the game and got a deserved equaliser. There commentators said "we were the best team to visit them this season" We, imho, have the best squad we've had for many a year. If that's not progress I don't know what is

What a ridiculous post... to be doing what we are after the disruptions etc etc is nothing short of amazing.
Hardcastle will be back shortly, and would be surprised if we don't try and add some more in January. Hird has been solid last few weeks, and did ok today bar the back pass. Ok he might get done for pace occasionally but that could be said of the Taylor boys as well.
You need a reality check on what we have actually achieved so far this season.
The last few weeks the performances have improved massively, and will only get better as the season develops.

Agree Ian. Needs treatment. I once saw us lose to the Barrow Select 11, I once saw us losing to Stevenage in the Trophy Final...... but who won. I once saw Barrow being 3-0 down at half time to Ashton way back in the day's of the Unidump league and won 3 _ 4 . I threw a tray of chips in the air when we scored the fourth ! You could go on forever trying to prove...... nothing. We have been fantastic mostly, playing really good football. DD could have been defensive today, but he really went for it. Read the Cambridge press.

You must have watched a different interview to me. Cambridge manager said "we were a good side who caused them problems who will be pleased with the point and so they should be"
When asked why cambridge never played well he said partly Barrow.

To be fair I do understand your point, we haven’t actually won many; think once Quigley starts playing most weeks (fingers very much crossed!) we will start converting draws to wins, we’ve looked a different team since Taylor came back in, look at least a match for most teams now.
Sure people are bored of me saying it but I have no doubt whatsoever that we will stay up and that is all we need to do this year

Great to see the shoe on the other foot for a change in terms of scoring at the end, full credit to the players for resilience. Must stop consistently gifting sloppy goals away however.

Without taking his goal into consideration Matty Platt seems to be effortlessly dominant in most games he's played in this league, just kicked on from last season with ease despite the step up.
