A good game. Two well-matched sides, so can't really complain about the result, especially if our penalty was a dodgy decision.

Unfortunate for Jones I'd argue. He showed desire to get to the ball but just came out second best. It was smart play from the FGR player who got across well. Arguably though, it would have been best to leave that contest and wait for the ball to come down. Hindsight is a beautiful thing, mind you.

Can’t recall a goal we’ve conceded this season where I’ve said fair play to the opposition great goal......everyone has been an absolute gift we are weak as [SwearFilter] at game mangement and give far too many chances to the opposition. So frustrating ffs

Two wins from thirteen. There's only so long you can roll out the what if line.
Popular side since '03.

you're right didn't think it was a penalty but ffs how many times are we going to shoot ourselves in the foot we seem to have no composure when we get put under pressure, its just not good enough!

16 attempts. 4 on target. Needs to improve as well as the obvious one of the errors in and around our own box.
All in all, I think a draw was fair on the balance of the game. They hit the woodwork twice and had one cleared off the line. We had plenty of attacking chances but just never quite seemed to find the end result.
Still stings to conceded in the last minute again and due to yet another error though.

I agree. Not one side where you could say they've carved us open or bossed it. Always gifts.mickycarrol wrote: ↑Sat Nov 21, 2020 5:06 pm Can’t recall a goal we’ve conceded this season where I’ve said fair play to the opposition great goal......everyone has been an absolute gift we are weak as [SwearFilter] at game mangement and give far too many chances to the opposition. Having said that, if they score, rather than hit the woodwork, those two goals would've been fair play. Worked us open and we got lucky when they hit the woodwork. The one that rattled the bar was a real effort.

Barrow ran out of luck again.Played well.Did brilliantly to come from behind but yet again punished for silly mistakes. That was never a free kick at the end.

Wasn't even a 50/50 header. Didn't get up and arrived late. No complaints with the ref there.Methuselah wrote: ↑Sat Nov 21, 2020 5:09 pm Barrow ran out of luck again.Played well.Did brilliantly to come from behind but yet again punished for silly mistakes. Re: BarrowAFC v forest Green rovers match thread
Good match but we can't keep getting home draws other wise we will stay close to the relegation places! Played well but we keep shooting ourselves in the foot. The Forest Green manager should be shot for changing his formation. Before he did that they had control oif the second half and we didn't look to have much chance of equalising. Then they did what we often do and stopped trying to attack which allowed us to get forward and with one good goal and the help of the referee get a lead. So then we imitate them and just boot the ball forward so they can keep us penned in and Mike Jones gives away a stupid fould to let them equalise. Probably a fair result overall but we should have been able to protect the lead by continuing to pass the ball and get higher up the pitch.

Its how the majority of goals I've seen at this level are scored. 3 goals from set pieces today. For all the possession, movement, and nice passing, its the team who is better at defending - especially against set pieces and makes less mistakes that will usually come out on top.mickycarrol wrote: ↑Sat Nov 21, 2020 5:06 pm Can’t recall a goal we’ve conceded this season where I’ve said fair play to the opposition great goal......everyone has been an absolute gift we are weak as [SwearFilter] at game mangement and give far too many chances to the opposition.
