How many times now have we lose a close game?
Was never a red card but we actually played better in the second half with 10 men than we did at the start of the game with 11. Dunn HAS GOT TO change the system; the 3-5-2 isn’t working, time for a back 4
Quigley did better than he has but apart from that not much to write home about

A third of the season has gone. If the two team immediately below us win their games in hand we are in the relegation zone. Some huge decisions for the board to make.... we are, like it or not, fighting for our hard earned league status.

Let’s not mask this performance by saying we had a man sent off and we were better second half. Absolute bobbins we were very poor and lack desperately in midfield.

The players need to know this is a relegation dog fight now they need to step up BIG TIME

Well, the effort was good second half but:

Back 3 isn't working. Back 4 looks much better each time we revert it.
Why the hell take Kay off and leave Biggins on?
We have nothing in terms of pace or creativity in the middle.
If we keep playing balls over the top and whipping it in from the flanks, why are playing out shortest striker up top?
When do Reid and/or Sea get a run? We need someone to battle up front and provide a goal threat. Quigs can't do it alone. James runs all day and shows some flashes but isn't effective in the air if we keep playing like this.

I think it's time to see some changes from DD and not keep going with the same thing expecting different results. Otherwise, I'm afraid the board are going to have to do something very shortly.
We hate Carlisle United, we hate Workington too (and Morecambe), we hate Accrington Stanley but Barrow we love you :scarf:

We have one; he’s been injured since he signed and we don’t get any updates as to when we’ll ever see him (same as Hardcastle)
Bring in 20 strikers but until you have someone to link the play up they will do nothing the goals we concede are being torn apart in the middle there are no legs in both taylors or jones
Absolutely hit the nail on the head. So, how come our ex Premier League midfielder (and decent one at that) NOT seen what is in front of his eyes? This is what concerns me.

No more Biggins he’s had his chance always go backwards you bring Hardcastle in as soon as you can with Jones the taylors dont look up for it now j taylor has 4 good games but below par now. Reid looked well

No luck tonight, even on the shrimps forum they can't understand the sending off and to quote one on the non Barrow pen... "Bloody hell! If that was us, I'd be furious not getting a penalty! They're battering us at the minute and that should have been a Barrow penalty.".

Lets hope the poor officiating swings round in our favour some time soon.

Some heroes playing tonight. Really put a shift in , but before the sending off we were second by a street.

I feel really sorry for the guys who played here last year. Most of them are good footballers with a great attitude. They have been let down by a poor manager. Recruitment has been terrible.

They were clearly motivated after the sending off. But not before.

That has to be one of the biggest team of homers officiating a game of football that I think in 50 years of watching football I have ever seen.

Hird never a red card
The guy who went studs up on James definite red, yellow given
Quigley getting pulled down when attacking the goal, absolutely stonewall penalty. Not given.

To be fair to Morecambe we lost that before the sending off, I still think our team were at Happy Mount Park with Mr Blobby!

We can’t keep making excuses for Dunny but the above in this game certainly gives him some reason for another loss.

Personally I think we are going back down. We cannot keep playing the way we do. Our points total suggests bottom two for certain.

Quigley excellent, other than that we were very poor. Worryingly we also looked lethargic, devoid of ideas and confidence.

Can't see how people are saying it wasn't a red against Hird. All day long for me, clearly swings his left arm at it and there's nowhere near enough from the attacker for a free kick to us. Not blaming Hird as it was probably instinctive, but no complaints for me.

With 10 men this was never going to be easy but he needs to change it and soon. The 11 he started with just did not settle in the early stages and the goal was coming. He is only making small changes to his preferred starting 11 when it clearly isn't working. We need pace and that comes from players like Reid and Angus, even Sea who looked useful against Oldham did not even feature yet he showed enough v Oldham to at least get on the bench, but you cant play them all. Personally, i would like to see more of Quigley, Angus and Reid from the off, even if that means leaving Kay and James out.

It was a good effort with 10 second half but we really are struggling now. It just isnt happening (basing that on the opening 15 mins)

Shambolic performance tonight. Most of them didn't looked bothered for most of the game. I'm never usually one to throw somebody under the bus like I do with Biggins, but starting him every game is giving the opposition a man advantage already - never mind the bemusing sending-off of Hird.

He was supposed to be the number ten in the system, the more creative of the midfield trio, yet I don't think he made a single successful forward pass or completed a successful dribble at Morecambe tonight. I fail to see what Dunn sees in order to merit starting him every game.

I felt sorry for Quigs tonight. Put a shift in to try and score but was failed by the majority. Chris Taylor seemed unable to play that final ball. Why Reid was named on the bench in favour of Sea I don't know. Another to add to the catalogue of strange selection choices, personally.

I thought a 3-4-3 would have been the way to go tonight. Starting Angus ahead of Biggins being the main change I'd make.

The pressure is on Dunn now. We aren't getting the results and the last couple of (league) games, the performances haven't been good enough. With supporters back on Saturday, the atmosphere certainly won't be what we would have hoped. It won't be helped if we get off to a slow start.

Apart from a few mins in the second half we were poor. Into injury time and we passing the ball backwards.
