A bad signing from the start based on his past form and a article posted on Blackpool Forum about him worried me it was liablous but raised concerns for me.
If he was good enough Blackpool would have promoted him.
One more defeat and he becomes the Barrow Manager who has lost more games than any other since we were formed and that includes Mickey Moore .
The replacement should be being lined up now.

Armchair managers the lot of you. Sick of it. Realistically what were you expecting?? We over achieved last season by a huge margin and anyone who says we didn’t is a stupid man and a lier. Now we have to carry on over achieving in a higher standard of football in a league we haven’t been good enough to play in for almost half a century! Surely the real expectation is just to stay up? Stop trying to pretend we are better than we are!! I want the best for my team but I’m also very realistic about this season unlike some who think we will be in the champions league in 5 seasons. Get behind the boys and Dunn and stop criticising! Have some loyalty to your team

We all want that but we have to judge him on results so far which don't look good.

What concerns me that he seems to lack confidence in his own abilities.

Always said it was the aim to stay up. However: were losing games and common areas of concern are cropping up again and again. 1) defensive organisation 2) lack of creativity and forward play from midfield to name a couple.
David Dunn does not change things even if they aren't working. The signings have added nothing, even been a step backwards in some cases.

Nothing to do with delusions of grandeur here. Said all along we aim to stay up. But if a manager has no ideas other than stock with the same plans and players when it isn't working, I'm afraid the buck stops with the manager. He's not a miracle worker, but neither is he getting the potential out the squad. I like David Dunn, seems like a nice bloke, but each week that goes by I'm finding it harder and harder to justify his position. I hope he turns it around, I really do, but we can't continue like this for too much longer or we'll be back in non league with a whimper.

Think I’d have a lack of confidence if my own fans turned on me and were calling for my removal. Just get behind the man and show our support! Bolton were the same when evatt went, poor results and were calling for his head, now they have gone on a run of 4 wins on the bounce and there is no problem

Firstly the appointment was a farce ,how could this happen when you don't even consider other candidates? it's the equivalent of giving a job to someone because you heard he/she is ok!(it can't have been based on his managerial record).
secondly recruitment, we were starting the season with Quigs suspended so we knew when he came back he'd need a few games to get up to speed, so a goalscorer had to be a priority (I know this is easier said than done) we didn't, when questioned on this Dunn said you can't get a decent centre forward with our budget, did he not know about the budget when he took the job ?
thirdly recruitment 2 a lot of our signings had been sidelined with previous injury problems this in itself should have sent alarm bells ringing, also the players seemed to be signed with no thought as to how they would fit in to any system e.g. lack of pace, age etc.
fourth
injuries whilst a lot of clubs get injuries (covid restrictions) did we prepare enough the players seemed to be going down like flies and then take an age to come back some still without any clarity on what's going on, fitness must come into this we don't seem anywhere near last seasons levels.
finally leadership the board, players and the fans, we all need positivity a plan a way out of this situation, I for one just hear definitely maybe (sorry oasis)

we need fresh ideas, different strategy I'm afraid David Dunn possesses neither!

We aren't going to do what Bolton did, the fact is that we have 2 wins in league and cup all season and we are constantly losing games by one goal which people use to justify keeping Dunn. I always support the club, even as an armchair fan I have found myself travelling to the likes of Histon, Worcester, Dagenham etc midweek but yeah...I'm an armchair fan.

We have a load of crocks, crap and god knows what else signed and the ethos that the team had last season is now totally gone. That lies with the manager, its a results business and if we only manage 2 wins every 15 games then we will be relegated before the start of April.

Yes, but evatt, as we know, will change sides, pick the best fit available on the day. Were also rattling towards Xmas with 2 wins against 10 men. And we're still playing the same set up and with the same players. Working towards something and sticking with the status quo and hoping are different things. To play the system he wants we need an energetic, creative force in the middle. He didn't recruit one.
I am behind him and the team, always am, and I've been more positive and complimentary than many, but sometimes you can't deny the facts in front of you. Hopefully he'll pull it round but the signs aren't good at the minute.

Never called anyone an armchair fan? Also with your bragging about travelling im a season ticket holder who has a 300 mile round trip for our home games so we can stop with that. What did you honestly expect? Please give me your league position that you expected us to finish?

The team is an enigma. The last 7 days have been a huge disappointment and fans are rightly concerned. They say a week is a long time in politics - same with football. Before the last week, we had beaten Mansfield and Bradford, lost at Grimsby, played really well against Cambridge and probably deserved to win, played well against FG, though a draw was probably fair. Things were looking up IMO and I felt that we could match some of the best teams in the league.

At the moment, on points per game, we must fear relegation. Can things improve and how long do we wait? As I said earlier, sacking Dunn is easy to say, harder to do. It's a dilemma we must leave for the Board to wrestle with. Meanwhile, we should all get behind the team and the manager and hope that our luck will change. Looking over our shoulder at the relegation places has been the default position for Barrow fans for many decades, we should be used to it.
