If the job comes up hope that he and others that have ‘given advice’ are not considered. The results of their advice is not riveting is it? ;)

When you think our Chairman is a accountant there must be some reason he did not go through protocol ,maybe they were worried when Evatt left that we would be left struggling at the bottom of the league.I honestly think it was a genuine mistake.

My only hope is that when DD leaves Barrow, he opens a money lending business I will be first inline for a none secured loan .
Simon Grayson is helping out at Kendal as a favour and hopefully not here with a view to replace Dunn as his last club was Bradford in 2018 where he only managed 3 wins from 18.

I quite agree abuse is not acceptable ,sarcasm is needed.
but ultimately the most costliest mistake ever !
I like many others think that going down would not only be financially a disaster but put us back years in getting the fan base back again Ian Evatt saw this and whatever you think of him he "got it" ,our club has great potential but along with recruitment etc. we have managed to undue all that people keep saying we'll turn it around but we need to start scoring goals and I just can't see that happening believe me I wish I could!
Agree .
I will be honest I thought we would not get promoted when the league finished.
I thought having seen Quigley get sent off against Notts County if we played on we would have ended up in the play offs at best.
Sometimes things are meant to be and having read in the stop press in 1972 we had been voted out of the league was totally devastated.
We have finally arrived and really need to stay up.
Everyone wants the same it's just expressed differently.
Evatt needed to succeed and inspite of a bad start turned it around.
Dunn has had ample time and their is no sign he is doing that.
If Dunn fails he can walk away and still have a good standard of living from his previous earnings.
Paul Cox has been touted but Paul Hornby will know more about him than most ,he did take Guisley down and is at Kettering and they have only won 3 games from 9.

Please not Paul Cox. That would be a disaster.

Good grief, not being sufficiently obsessed with ex-players we now move on to ex-managers.
Don't let the old man in.

Only one person has mentioned Paul cox and its meltdown mark 2

If dunn walked or got let go there would be a lot of people interested in the club, good owners active trust some decent players and a real blank canvas project

This country
Bill Oddie for manager? Although I would imagine he will be more interested in the ongoings of Ormsgill Reservoir than football.

Some great thought provoking if possibly alcohol inspired stuff on this thread. Gets richer with every 1 goal defeat.

But If DD did chuck it in or his fate was decided for him, I'd expect those looking for a successor to be able to address one simple question before deciding upon an appointment. Its not a difficult question and is one that should have been addressed before the current manager was appointed. If it ever was asked I do not know what the answer given was.

Simply put : Why, when you have striven for so long to regain your place in the EFL and are attempting to secure your future in a higher league and now without the services of the manager that was primarily responsible for getting you to this point, would you not try to find someone who had at a least a recent working knowledge - a proven experience - of what it takes to survive at this level?

There is more chance of Pep Guardiola taking over and returning us to Barrowcelona than Paul Cox managing us again
