Re: Vs Cheltenham town (next match)
The new rule on masks is in place because those in charge at the club deemed it necessary. End of. Annoying for me as I will be steaming up but I don’t expect any reasoning or what not from the club.

I’ll ask those around me how the footballs going before any attempts to combat the fogPerthBluebird wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 1:31 pmUse hand pump hand wash on your glasses stops the foggingBluebird_john wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 1:22 pm The new rule on masks is in place because those in charge at the club deemed it necessary. Little change to team news. Brown back from suspension, Hardcastle nearest to a return (although no mention of James Jones, I thought he was ready):

Well I hope that when he was at these bigger clubs he was more inspirational than he sounded on the radio after the game the other night.saltcellar wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 10:13 amI don't know and I am sure you don't know either how inspirational Kelly is to the players.
Are you there when they train or for the team talks?
If not, you are simply guessing.
He has been in charge of clubs far bigger than what Barrow are.
He sounded as though he couldn't give a ****

Elaine there are some spare visors down here if you want to nip for one and see if that's any better? When I had to sit on the front with reading glasses on I used them and it was a bit better.MisterPleasant wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 12:56 pmIt is true, divers do expectorate into and wipe in their goggles. If anybody is exempt from wearing a mask they don't have to wear a mask. The law is such as no exemption proof is required. Its against the equalities act to ask to show why your exempt. These are just guidelines issued by the EFL.Paul wrote: ↑Wed Dec 16, 2020 7:33 pmNo matter what you believe, if that's the regulations the club have to abide by to have fans inside Holker St, we'll have to comply or we risk being "locked out" again.blue nige wrote: ↑Wed Dec 16, 2020 6:53 pm the wearing of masks at all times is total bullshit there's nothing medical to support this decision they definitely don't protect you and have minimal effect on you spreading it so you have to be 2 metres apart, the masks are just someone trying to go with the flow it's a joke!
In my eyes, it's a small price to pay (even tho the football is hard to watch at the moment).

Visors are fine, I might wear a visor myself. And no one will be asking for proof of exemption.liverpoolann wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 7:31 pm Is it ok to wear a visor instead of face mask?I would prefer it spent last match wiping misty glasses and squinting into sunlight!
It's true they are only guidelines. The EFL and the SAG listen to the SGSA Inspector, Police etc. The council are the licensing authority and listen to them and to Public Health England.
If any of these bodies don't agree with our plans we have to change them and that means changing the capacity.
So it's up to you folks. No one is trying to control you.

I've seen a lot of people claiming this on Facebook but having looked at the legislation, I don't see anything to support it. Am I missing something? Current guidance is not to ask for proof although that doesn't necessary translate to it being illegal.Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 7:51 pmIts against the equalities act to ask to show why your exempt.
I know one shop that has had a lot of trouble with people taking the p1ss so have come up with a new system. While they don't require proof of exemption, they do require you to say which specific exemption applies to you. They will take your word for it, but you need to actually name one of the exemptions mentioned in the law otherwise you're not getting in.

The club requires you to wear a face covering (not necessarily a mask). Gov.uk says this about face coverings...barrowaberdeen wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 8:30 pmVisors are fine, I might wear a visor myself. In the context of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, a face covering is something which safely covers the nose and mouth. You may use a mask, scarf, bandana, religious garment or hand-made cloth covering but these must securely fit round the side of the face.
A face visor or shield may be worn in addition to a face covering but not instead of one. This is because face visors or shields do not adequately cover the nose and mouth.

Shops can't ask you that as it's personal private medical information. They can remind you that you need to wear a mask unless you are exempt - but once a person has said they are exempt that's it - the shops can not ask what the exemption is. That's also why a lot of people who are exempt are getting the green and yellow sunflower hidden disability lanyards.Neurotoxin wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 6:42 amI've seen a lot of people claiming this on Facebook but having looked at the legislation, I don't see anything to support it.
