WRONG!!! It’s NOT against the equalities act, Mains Stand Season Tct. Any shop or commercial operation can ask why you’re not wearing a mask, though the government advises that it is done sensitively. Admittedly most shops don’t bother...though I know of one large well known shop in Barrow that always asks. Also, any transport operation can refuse to allow a person to travel if they are not wearing a mask, no matter what the excuse. Read the government guidelines.Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 7:51 pmIf anybody is exempt from wearing a mask they don't have to wear a mask. No matter what you believe, if that's the regulations the club have to abide by to have fans inside Holker St, we'll have to comply or we risk being "locked out" again.
In my eyes, it's a small price to pay (even tho the football is hard to watch at the moment).

Re: Vs Cheltenham town (next match)
Look, at the end of the day its down to the supporters. The club have managed to get 400 extra in the ground partly because of the request to wear masks. If people don't do it and the authorities aren't happy and reduce the capacity again then there will be no general sales. I really do not see what the issue is. If you can't wear a mask for 90 mins minus the time you are having a cup of coffee or something to eat then don't bloody go.
Re: Vs Cheltenham town (next match)
Just wear a bloomin mask, if not don’t go.

I didn't say it was against the equalities act to ask why your not wearing a mask. I said its against the equalities act to ask someone to "show" why they are exempt. If someone or any shop does ask by just saying i am exempt suffices.Man and Boy wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 12:07 pmWRONG!!! It’s NOT against the equalities act, Mains Stand Season Tct. Any news on tickets sales hope our bad run has not put to many off, something us long suffering fans have done for many seasons all part of supporting the club even Barrow AFC will lose games.

Re: Vs Cheltenham town (next match)
Are you sure about that? I've seen the "it's illegal to ask me" stuff doing the rounds on Facebook too but when you look at the actual legislation they quote, I can't see anything preventing it. It seems like people have just heard something and repeat it because they want it to be true. Anyway, the shop in question (not going to name them) doesn't ask you for private medical information, they only ask which specific exemption applies to you. As long as you can name one of the valid exemptions in law, they take your word for it and let you in.

I work in retail and we've been told we're not allowed to ask what the exemption is. It's got nothing to do with the legislation - it's because a person's private medical circumstances are just that - private. Only a medical professional can ask about it.Neurotoxin wrote: ↑Sat Dec 19, 2020 5:08 amAre you sure about that? Re: Vs Cheltenham town (next match)
Anyone know what state the pitch is in? Very very wet overnight up here.
We hate Carlisle United, we hate Workington too (and Morecambe), we hate Accrington Stanley but Barrow we love you
Re: Vs Cheltenham town (next match)
We'll either win this 2-0 or we'll get thumped 0-4
We are officially the worst team on form over last several weeks. Our midfield has to be right and on form if we have any chance today
