That is an interesting one. He invites the owners to sack him over his comments about the current situation. Or is he using the off-field discord to detract from Grimsby's less than excellent start? Hmm.

Michael Jolley the new favourite on sky bet.

Why? His record is non-existent as a player or manager.
I would be interested in what the board see in him

Popular with Grimsby fans and only left after an "expletive-laden rant" at a BBC commentator despite the club being well-placed. Club within the community is high on his list of objectives so you can see why there could be interest.
Don't let the old man in.
Re: New manager - Who do you want?
If it's Jolley then Adam better watch out when he interviews him - tread carefully
Re: New manager - Who do you want?
Only left Grimsby for non-football reasons
Cambridge graduate before working in America
Managed in Sweden - Eskilsuna (the club Tim Erlandson joined when he left us) after recomendation by Sean Dyche
As already stated big on community interaction.
Holds top UEFA coaching licence
Negativity possibly because he wasn't on the radar above better known names but he'll do for me if it is him

Re: New manager - Who do you want?
Thanks for that, interesting CV. Seems another 'punt' but maybe he is the best available and would be a good long term pick.SKIPPER wrote: ↑Sat Dec 19, 2020 4:02 pmOnly left Grimsby for non-football reasons

Why, because he's not a well-known name? One of the more appealing options available.
Re: New manager - Who do you want?
This.
I thought people would realise that after getting knocked back by a couple of managers in the summer we aren't the draw some people say we are.

Because of the position we find ourselves in we need a safe and proven pair of hands to guide us out of the mire D. Dunn got us in to. Mr. Jolley is too much of an unknown quantity for the job.

I think Jolley is proven. He kept Grimsby up. So he as been over the course before.
