The trust members role is to vote at the AGM for a person to be the trusts director on the main club board

The trust director then represents the trust by using his voice/vote in the best way they see at the time of any decision. If the trust members don’t like what decisions are made then there option is to remove the trust board representative at the next agm - there would be no way you could have a vote by the members on every decision that is made by the club board

Not read the thread past this post but it [SwearFilter] me off that much I had to comment, Not picking on the poster here as loads of people say the similar jibe, “Can’t afford xyz”

The correct candidate comes with a price you have to pay to get the results you’re wanting & it’s way cheaper than getting the wrong/cheaper option then replacing them with another wrong/cheaper option who you end up paying for a few years each garden leave, Choose the right person & the right price & get the results we all want & it’s literally FREE as the money the FA give to L2 every year far outweighs the cost of getting it right, Just my opinion.

Yeah this. We are seen as little old barrow, because, like it or not, in the football league we ARE little old Barrow to the majority. The board are making great strides in bringing us up to standard (ground improvements etc.) but we are a work in progress. We and the board, see the potential of the club and a lot of that potential is dependant on staying in the football league. The board need to convince any new candidates of this potential with a long term vision.
Let's be frank about it. For an experienced manager with a half decent reputation to take on a team perilously close to the relegation places, there has to be potential and something to work with. We've all seen David Dunn's stats in management. A new guy is putting his reputation and stats on the line and needs to see that it isn't a hiding to nothing. We all know how good this team can be. Not everyone knows that.
It isn't all doom and gloom by any means. Many opposition managers have complimented this team. There's plenty of footage around these days to see what's here in terms of players, infrastructure, fans etc. And the board have gained a reputation as being good, honest people to work with, with the best interests of the club and supporters at heart. All that will be a factor.
