Seems sensible from the board's perspective. If he can't keep us up then he has failed and we can get rid of him without having to pay up the rest of his contract. Also shows that he is confident enough to think he will be successful.PerthBluebird wrote: ↑Wed Dec 23, 2020 6:24 pmBasically if it goes west and we go down he will be off

What if we do class and another club come in for him in the Summer? Can he just leave?

Good appointment that I'm sure will be well supported by us lot.
Steve Herbert supports the nob theory - Saturday 4th February 2012.
If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.

Excellent comments made by him. Seems confident, positive and keen to engage the supporters. Ticking the boxes at this early stage
We hate Carlisle United, we hate Workington too (and Morecambe), we hate Accrington Stanley but Barrow we love you
Re: Jolley confirmed as Barrow manager
Good luck Michael and a clean slate from the off! Hope this proves to be a Jolley good appointment going forward.
Barrow Christmas one and all.

Makes little difference in those circumstances. Look at Evattrussell_anderson wrote: ↑Wed Dec 23, 2020 6:36 pmProbably unless the break is just for the club which is unlikely but possible. It all depends on the contract.
Re: Jolley confirmed as Barrow manager
Welcome and I look forward to you helping us stay up
. Does the break clause also enable him to clear off if he gets a better offer from another club?
Just say no to VAR

Congratulations to whoever edited Jolley's Wikipedia entry to say this:-
"Michael Jolley (born 30 March 1977) is an English professional football coach and football manager who was most recently the manager of League Two club Grimsby Town but has now bettered himself and become manager of Barrow AFC."

Big difference. If we left because he was successful we wouldn't get any compensation.David881 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 23, 2020 6:41 pmMakes little difference in those circumstances.
