Don’t even want to see exactly what went on with the red card but even discounting that it would be a travesty if Harrison Biggins ever pulled on a Barrow shirt again. God awful footballer, and to top it he looks like he’d rather be anywhere than here right now.

On the lap of honour at the end, Jolley had a real aura about him I felt. It really felt like he was looking each individual in the eyes and thanking them for their support. Good to see.

One major downside for me was the brainless ‘Feed the Scousers’ chant that emanated from the Holker end after the red card. I get it, football songs don’t have to be factually correct, so we can ignore the fact that Tranmere aren’t based in Liverpool. But what I can’t ignore is a song from a group of supporters in a town stricken by severe poverty, singing about having to feed another poverty stricken place. It’s absolutely tasteless and in a year when so many local people are struggling to make ends meet, pretty disgusting.
Probably sums up 2020 more that somebody gets offended by something so petty.
More off a joke was the booing off taking the knee we are absolutely lucky as anything they did nt take the knee for a longer period off time or we would have been all over sky sports news and national news for the wrong reasons.
All opinions expressed are my own , not here to cause kick off just enact debate.

Seven points from nine from a tough-ish run of games, you just wouldn't have thought that possible a few weeks ago. Good time to pick up points with a few sides around us winning recently too.

With Biggins switched out for Mike Jones that's the makings of a decent midfield I think. Hardcastle was a little off the boil I thought but that's understandable given his layoff.

Vaughan was your typical shithouse striker but one every decent team at this level has - you certainly wouldn't complain if he was in your side. I must admit, some of the random grief that opposition players get sometimes, it always feels like it will come back and bite you in the arse.
Popular side since '03.

Very good point that. Ten men for 25 mins against a good team. Exeter will be even tougher. Onwards and upwards.

:scarf: Urgently need some energy in midfield. They looked fitter, faster and won most 50 - 50 balls. Quigs needs a goal scoring partner and another quick player out wide. Besides that, we improved 2 nd half after Jolly had a word with them and we pressed more until the sending off.
Great point in the end, which we certainly deserved. Jolly will know what needs to be done. Come on the blues and go for the 3 points on Saturday.

Barrow take 7 out of 9 points.

Let’s focus of lack of masks, distasteful songs, slagging off players, anything else?

I went into a cubicle and someone had left a massive turd unflushed.

I expect that in the National League but not in League Two.

Having been at the match tonight,I thought it was a good battling performance even when reduced to ten men.A few weeks ago the team would have switched off in the second half.We still need strengthening in the middle of the pitch, but hopefully that will be rectified during the January transfer window.I would just like to say thank you to the team for giving us hope and also for our new manager for applauding the supporters.Onwards and upwards. Come on the Bluebirds. :scarf: :skill:

Existed. That’s enough for the lad to be moaned at I think. Each season we get a scapegoat seems he’s drawn the short straw this time round

Well said, feed the scousers is an incredibly mild/banter song (unless your a snowflake) compared to some of the songs from the 80s 90s.
Yeah because songs about poverty and not being able to feed your family is great mild banter. To mock that when there are rising levels of hardship all over the country?

Behave. He gets himself in all the right positions but just lacks creativity and gives the ball away far too much. There are as many people constantly knocking people for criticising as there are actually criticising Biggins.

FWIW he was not the only guilty one tonight, I thought we got a hard earned point but we were mostly poor. Brough and Brown also hit numerous aimless punts up to Quigley, Kay was anonymous again...the entire midfield were. The fact Dixon was MOTM says enough. A great point all things considered but that does not exempt players from being criticised on a public message board.
Steve Herbert supports the nob theory - Saturday 4th February 2012.

If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.

I agree. We were dominated for the majority of that match and that was against 11 men. Great result considering our performance overall, my point was more to the fact Biggins seems to be singled out in a side with many poor players

You’re reading into it to much, It’s just a chant which has been around well before the current pandemic . Work-mates from Birkenhead and he takes the p1ss out of the Barrow accent, know people from Carlisle who take the p1ss out of the state of our town / town centre, regional banter. Football is the one thing you can go to, to leave life’s issues behind for 90 minutes. Do you get upset when the away fans sing “Barrows a sh*t hole*?

Oh believe me I could say a bit about a few others in the side. I think a lot of it boils down to the fact we have had the luxury of a performing John Rooney in that role for the last couple of years so Biggins might have been up against it from the start. There are a good few players in this side not up to it.

Again, it's a good point all things considered and will have shown Jolley a lot. There are plenty of times this season where we'd have folded tamely after going a goal down.

Plenty of room on the Pop side last night, and no messages about the HSE over the tannoy so presume it was same over there. The exiting system seemed to go smoothly as well so perhaps the club have just about got the capacity level correct now (just as we are about to go back behind closed doors)
