I have no idea whether by comparison to other teams we are minted, or paupers.
In short I see it as a difficulty to prise away the right sort of player at this time of the season. I hope I’m wrong.
Or you look to non league and try and sign the best of those who want to make the step up to league football

Need to consider 1) whether a player is available 2) is he good enough to make a difference 3) how much he will cost 4) can we afford him 5) will he want to play in a struggling team 6) will he want to travel to Barrow (almost) every other week. ?
I have a concern about contracted players being available to us when considering the above. If they are good players (presumably currently doing well) there is an obvious question. Why would they want to move on now? Perhaps Jolley has a magical allure about him within football, and the right sort of player will want to play for him. "Perhaps Jolley has a magical allure about him within football"
Perhaps he has, which begs the question -'what's he doing at Barrow?.
We might get a bit more info tonight on bbc RC sports show when the mighty Carlisle play at "tin pot" Harrogate Town.

PH said hopeful of one signing before Saturday, possibly two. You wouldn't expect other names to be released if still in negotiation. There was also the point made that often we can't complete a signing until their current club has signed someone else. Have a bit of patience.
Ah yes patience. Let’s wait till after potentially the 3 most important games of the season as that’s the way we do it

"Thought we may have some names by now." Hmmm, I was thinking the same!.
Yeah but its only Tuesday and the players can sign on Friday and play for us on Saturday. Im hoping at least 2 sign this week and are good enough and fit enough to play ! Its been mentioned 4 or 5 players this month. I'd be surprised if its not a big striker, a winger, at least 2 central midfielders

Unless my memory is failing (which is entirely possible!), I believe PH said in his interview that 1 player would be signing early this week and probably another before the game on Saturday.

For me, it all depends now on the calibre of players that the club brings in which will determine our future in terms of the club remaining in the football league.
I really do think that this is the most crucially important time of this season in terms of shaping our future.
If ever we needed the Manager/ Board to pull something out of the hat, now's the time and make no mistake, time is now of the essence.
Here's hoping for the best while part of me says expect the...............

For me its about the current players, not one or two coming in now. We really need 9-10 players on top form every game if we are going to climb the table. Currently nowhere near that. Consistency is key.

Well I think that's just it isn't it. The current squad of players, as a whole, have more than proved that they have no consistency and, are not capable of keeping the club in this league without quality additions that 'might' be capable of helping them along.

Praying whoever it is we have lined up is currently training with the squad, it’s vital we dont waste Sat as another opportunity to use the current squad who have already proven to be far too inconsistent.

Really thought a couple of decent, proven L2 players would have been named by now. Can’t leave it until last minute in the hope they slot straight in after signing on a Thurs/Fri.

Let’s not panic today; I would be concerned if there is no new arrivals before this weekends game but not today. Sure the board are trying their best

everything seems so unfair, we had to wait months to get promoted, couldn't celebrate it lost the manager, couldn't watch any games for 3 months and now there's loads of supporters who might never have seen us back in the league it's like a dystopian nightmare plus we play Exeter away last game just like '72 , I'm trying not to panic but my anxiety levels are off the scale!🤣

I know you are right, of course you are-its just that everyone else seems to be adding to their squads-bar us.
