Did not expect to see any more. Do we really need another defender who’s parent club will expect him to get game time? They cant all play.

I think we might end up getting rid of one of our better players in this window. It's gone through my mind has a bid come in for platt and we are strengthening before letting him go?

In his interview about the Bobby Thomas signing Michael Jolley says we have "competition right across the squad". I didn't think we were that well blessed up front but maybe Baker-Richardson is now coming into the frame. Nevertheless, keeping 33 squad players happy is going to be some task!
Don't let the old man in.

At the end of the day we have signed 5 players (3 on loan) and all look good additions. We are trying to stay in this league and after the past weeks signings im a lot more confident that we will be OK and push away from the relegation zone. Our squad needing improving (we all been saying it) Its good to have cover across the pitch. I do think we need a striker unless Richardson is close to a comeback (although we don't even know if hes any good)
Im just going to be interested to see our starting line up on Tuesday

Why would you strengthen your squad then sell Platt

It just goes to highlight how weak the original squad was before these signings. The problem will be shipping some of the dead wood out. Are we trying to do deals to end contracts?
Zouma, Wilson, Gribben, Penfold, Sea all need to be shipped out but even then we will still have a squad of 28!
Not complaining at that by the way - it’s a positive but we literally cant afford (in monetary terms) to carry the dead wood.

Because don't wanna sell without having that position covered? Was only a thought.
I just don't get why we are signing all these defenders.

Because we have a lot of shit and deadwood at the back.

Simples - because MJ doesn’t think the existing ones are good enough, and looking at some of the goals we’ve conceded you would have to say he’s probably right.

Aye totally agree I just don't think the two new center backs have come to sit on the bench. I am probably wrong about platty its just unlike Barrow to get so many decent players 😂

I imagine we'll play a back 3 of Thomas,Davies and Platt.
