Interesting way of putting it.

I know what you're saying but players want to play and if they see their chances limited or non-existent they will want to go elsewhere. Could also be a little persuasion exerted perhaps!

Bringing in players that he obviously feels are better than what we've got.. Don't really see a problem.. If players move on, so what.. It's football it's what happens.. I'm sure they're working on finishing the jigsaw puzzle then time will tell.

Zouma, Gribbin, Sea - not getting in the squad
Both Taylors, Brown, Hird - not had many minutes in recent games so its inevitable that maybe a few might go out on loan or just not play. We solely have the league to play for so its got to be the strongest squad for each match. I thought we'd sign a defender but not 3 but goes to show Jolley obviously thinks we aren't as good at the back as we think we are and we do concede silly goals. The attacking midfielders we have been asking for since Rooney went i think have been brought in and a winger with some pace and skills. I do believe we will look (not necessarily get) another forward and if all these players keep us in this league then great, if we progress and finish the season well away from relegation then fantastic. Players will come and go - thats football !

I would hope that MJ and the board have half an eye on next year and the squad building involved for that as well. These signings may be a case of 'get them in, see if they will stay' a bit like Platt etc.

I am more confident now that a couple of weeks ago that we will be safe, and as such, I have no problem with the club cutting their losses on players such as Zouma, Sea, and others who are not goof enough to make the step up.

A huge lesson for the board has been that one bad transfer window can be extremely costly, but I give them a lot of credit for moving on and not being restricted by the current players who they deem not good enough. If a player is available who improves the team it seems the board have gone after them - regardless of position.

I would hope that MJ and the board have half an eye on next year and the squad building involved for that as well.

In the interviews with both Banks and Davies (and, maybe also Devitt) they all say the same thing about getting us safe this season and then building for a push next year. That message must have come from Jolley, the way they said it was just too similar.
