Re: Mace Goodridge
Has been on the bench for Burnley's first team so looks like a good signing.

Re: Mace Goodridge
Clarets midfielder Mace Goodridge has joined team-mate Bobby Thomas on loan at Barrow.
Goodridge, 21, has joined the League Two side until the summer, subject to FA and EFL approval, to complete a productive month for Academy recruits.
The former Newcastle youngster, who made the bench for Sean Dyche's side at Manchester City earlier this season, becomes the fourth player to head out of Turf Moor for Football League experience.
Along with defender Thomas, he departs along with midfielder Adam Phillips, 23, who has moved across Lancashire from a loan spell at Morecambe to join Accrington Stanley on loan and goalkeeper Lukas Jensen, 21, who has linked up with Bolton Wanderers on loan for the rest of the season.
The Clarets also ended January by adding to their Academy ranks, as teenage winger Dara Costelloe has joined from Galway after signing a deal at Turf Moor following a spell training with the club.

We seem to have a decent squad and hopefully they will gel and get us up the table. Welcome to Barrow, Mace.

Re: Mace Goodridge
What a strange comment
Baffled how you can define football ability etc by how someone wears a pair of football socks

Well Adam lad why do you think football is sometimes referred to as 'socker'? I mean it's not rocket surgery.

These guys that come from the likes of Burnley do we pay part of the wages or will Burnley pay them as we give the experience ?

As with any loan deal, they’ll all be different. There is no set amount.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Re: Mace Goodridge
I think Wintergreen is gloriously old school: socks vertical and knitted by your granny; shin pads carved from tree trunks; never more than two inches between shorts and socks and boots dubbined to the point that you see your own reflection in them. And whilst we are on the subject what kind of a name is Mace? Give me a Harold or a Stanley any day.Wintergreen wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 2021 12:24 pmWell Adam lad why do you think football is sometimes referred to as 'socker'? I mean it's not rocket surgery.
Anyway Adam, never mind Mace Goodridge you should be more worried about what happens if Ndjoli and Ntlhe manage to form a dynamic partnership in the starting eleven. We may not be unbeatable but we are rapidly becoming unpronounceable.

Re: Mace Goodridge
Barrow sign Mace, super marketing by Burnley
Re: Mace Goodridge
I'm sure that was top of MJ's checklist
1. How does he wear his socks?
2. Is he any good?
etc...
