Re: Barrow v Cambridge match thread
Jolly came in and has made wholesale changes. I was a bit suspicious of that (thought the right thing to do was to add 2-3 and maybe lose a few in return). However, as there was a lot of hype around the signings I thought let's wait and see.
I just can't see any signs of improvement under Jolly so far. I hope he proves me wrong but it's going to be a very tight end to the season.

A tough one on Tuesday as well, but looking at this lot of individuals, they are all going to be tough.

The GOOD - Kay never got a Yellow.
The BAD - We never looked like scoring.
The UGLY - What we just witnessed.

Cambridge were miles better than us, can see why they are top of the league. Played some decent football (albeit they had plenty of room in midfield to pass it about) with most things going through in Hoolihan who was on another level to our lads
Not sure why we shoved Bramall on the left, he looks weak as [SwearFilter] but if his main asset is blistering pace then at least play him in his usual position

We should be used as a blueprint for future promoted teams, don't hire an unproven manager who's only previous job he was described as the worst manager in their history followed by dont sign over 20 players many of whom arent good enough hoping we'll stumble upon on a winning formula,

Tactics very poor today nobody knows what they are doing. The formation we began the game with beggars belief you can only play one way with that, slow and pedestrian with no pace r adventure. Teams at the top of the league will just play you off the park ( Cambridge didn't need to !) Playing like this. Worrying how we set up since Jolley was appointed

Re: Barrow v Cambridge match thread
Our two CH’s today looked like two U16’s, minimal physical presence and so weak in the challenge, caught wrong side more than once and just generally really really poor.
James Jones must wonder what he’s done wrong to start sub behind them two.
No shots on target at home and looked so toothless once again. Absolute shite

Re: Barrow v Cambridge match thread
for all cambridge's dominance the 2 goals conceded were absolutely shocking both totally preventable, where was Donahue playing ( I don't think he knew, that's not a criticism), I honestly don't know what formation we were playing, I'd play platt and Jones in the middle, we miss Jones in front of the back 4 ,up front we have nothing, Quigs can't be expected to hold the line every game it's all a shambles!

Re: Barrow v Cambridge match thread
The Chris Taylor (was Harrison Biggins) “right midfield” position is a strange one, even stranger when Beadling came on there for 15 minutes today.
Donohue was brought in and fans of previous clubs all said he was a great signing as a left back or possibly a left midfielder, we played him centre midfield.
There’s probably an agreement that Bobby Thomas has to play but he just looks a bit weak at the moment, Jamie Jones probably do a better job alongside Davies until Platt is back fit.
Just play 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1 from the start; football is a simple game at our level made complicated

I've not seen us win once on iFollow so I don't think I'll bother.boyliegladbach wrote: ↑Sat Feb 06, 2021 5:11 pm Nearly at the cant be arsed watching anymore stage.
