Jolley's stated intention a few weeks ago, firstly, to make us hard to beat. I think he set up to do that today and I think we did ok against a very good team and some clever attacking players until their goal came. Problem with that is that,once we fell behind, one couldn;t see anyw ay we were likely to score. There were some flickers of hope over 15 minutes in the second half, but once Cambridge got a grip again there was only one outcome.

I do think we have signed some players who are better than what we had before the transfer window. We shouldn't judge and write the team off on the basis of a lackluster performance against probably the best team in the league.

Only positive is we didn’t lose points to the bottom 2. Looking at the fixture list til end of Feb, I think we have arguably the better chances for points out the 3 of us too.

I agree Bingo. Ok to be disappointed, worried, even to point out faults or disagree with some of the manager's decisions, but keep the faith. Despondency doesn'thelp anyone.

Jolley just stated on RC both Ndjoli and Goodridge were both fit and available today but he wanted them to watch from the stands to get a feel for how we play.....wowsers they must be confused to [SwearFilter] after that shambles.

We are DESPERATE for forward thinking players get em on the pitch and try and score a goal ffs. Attack is the best form of defence I’m sure the saying goes?

There is no quick fix. Some of these players may not improve anything and Jolley will be prepared for that. The biggest challenge is finding a winning formula with our big squad. I believe it will stay tight (within 3-6 points) around the bottom 4 all the way in. Then we need to be the form team going into the run in.

Don't think anyone's getting any pleasure with us struggling, everyone's mighty frustrated with our lack of goal scoring opportunities, we're not having any shots on target or creating any chances and I can't see what Jolley can do to change it unless he can get quigly to stay on his feet and concentrate on playing the game.

I think some of those in the “clique” wish we were back in the Conference North playing Guiseley & Brackley.

Given that Jolley's primary aim is to make us harder to beat I find it strange that Davies who's coming back from a long lay off and Thomas who's untested so far at senior league level have been preferred over what we already had, Jones in particular who hasn't really put a foot wrong when he's been available. Playing one is fine with Platt/Jones/Brough but throwing them in fresh to form a partnership given their lack of playing time beforehand doesn't seem the best of options.

I agree getvthe feeling though that he's (Jolley) assured their club's that they'll play games!
