The Relegation Battle/Other Scores Thread

Southend ahead against Newport with 15 left to play, which would see them go level on points with us having played two more.

Elsewhere Stevenage currently holding Tranmere, a point for them would put them four points ahead having also played two more.

I must admit these results do concern me slightly, granted Newport are hit and miss at the moment but they and Tranmere are in the promotion picture. I just can't see us picking up these sorts of results currently. Cambridge are also up there yet we didn't make it difficult for them on Saturday.

A few weeks ago there were 6-7 sides in the relegation mix. Then it was down to 4. With Stevenage winning it is looking more like 3 cut adrift now and everyone else is picking up points. Not looking good at all.

Lets just focus on our own battle. If we are good enough we will climb up the table.

Mansfield under Clough have had a remarkable turnaround - now 10 points clear of us on level games. Hard to credit after we pumped them 4-2 at their shop.

I know it's a tall order but other teams will get dragged down if you can win a few games in a row you can move up the league ..need to make the 2 games in hand count

We need points but our next few games are seriously tough ! If we don't win our games in hand then we are in a 3 horse race for relegation!!!!
