he's given 3 pathetic goals away are we supposed to say it doesn't matter we're in a relegation fight we CANNOT afford to do this ffs we can't just hope he comes good ( but it's not just him) but you can't defend the undefendable!

Re: Salford Match Thread
Agreed on Banks from what we’ve seen so far, expected a lot more from him
Quigley is really missing fans being in; he was the Quigley of last season those few magic games we were allowed backed in Holker Street for, he’s barely touched the ball since. Maybe just a coincidence but he’s certainly always been a player who’s thrived off the terraces.
Our season starts again on Saturday; we have a run of games now for the next 6 weeks where we simply have to start winning, and to do that we need to score goals, really really hope we don’t regret getting a goalscorer in in January

Theres a reason they furloughed a ton of players mate , the muscles have been flexed how much more do you think they can pile in cash wise they are local buisnessmen , even casson had a point where he had to stopReginald wrote: ↑Tue Feb 16, 2021 9:19 pmWill depend if the board want us back up, which I'm sure they will.Chris Benoit wrote: ↑Tue Feb 16, 2021 9:15 pm I am resigned to the fact that attending the win over Cheltenham and a draw with Tranmere is as good as its going to get for seeing Barrow play in the EFL. I have absolutely no hope that we will recover from shambolic recruitment and we won't ever get back up. Depressing.

Re: Salford Match Thread
Story of the season isn't it? Defensive errors costing goals when Joel Dixon has barely had anything to do all game. Hardly any chances created. Nothing creative from the middle of the park.
At least earlier in the season we played some pretty passes and kept possession. Now we seem to be lumping forward and expecting Luke James to win headers against giant centre backs.
Still behind the team as always, but starting to get that sinking feeling. Hope Jolley and the team can pleasantly surprise us all in the remaining games.

We hate Carlisle United, we hate Workington too (and Morecambe), we hate Accrington Stanley but Barrow we love you

Exactly, this is why he is at Barrow.

Morecambe games got to be 3 points. Players need to be fired up right from the KO. We’re at home, no negativity Mr Jolley.

Wonder why.
Popular side since '03.
Re: Salford Match Thread
The board should have one eye on preparing for next season now in a lower league.
If, we stay up it will be better than last season.
Re: Salford Match Thread
What was 5 teams for the 2 team relegation slots has suddenly become 3 for 2. And we are one of those. Maybe if they null & void the Conf. North & South we will stay up. I am not hopeful of us managing to stay up...but you never know !

Re: Salford Match Thread
Getting sick of watching us play now. Aimless punts forward to one striker who can't, or won't jump and another who cannot win balls in the air against 6ft 3in centre-halves. Regular mistakes at the back which other teams just don't make, a midfield which has almost no creativity at all, and a manager who will probably go in the dressing room after another "unlucky defeat by the odd goal" and say never mind lads, our luck will change soon, dust ourselves down and go again A small part of me blaims the board for going for a punt, Dunn, in the most important season in our history but I genuinely think Hornby really does love the club. I still think we'll stay up, but I'm increasingly thinking that's my heart ruling my head. Sad times indeed.

Re: Salford Match Thread
I think the conference north could so if that happens they'll be no relegation from the national league but it then depends what the EFL make of this situation but it's really shocking if like you we're having to rely on this happening but I honestly look at this squad of (both managers) and I don't know what they've seen !
