That won’t be happening
Do think we’d have more points this season with fans allowed in but every team is in the same boat

It was an effective performance against a top 5 side who have conceded less goals than any other side in the league. Yes I want us to be more creative but we are are in a relegation battle and don't expect anything other than more of the same.

This is the way its going to be so we either back it or give up on it.
If they weren't a goal up, Salford would've stepped it up second half. As it was, they didn't really have to do a lot for the three points - they won't have many easier games this season.
I think it would be worth a bet that Salford pump more than one goal into Carlisle on Saturday.

But they'd have to work for it. I don't think any of their players broke sweat tonight.

It’s a good job our board are supposedly good at keeping the finances in order because they’re shite at employee selection, first Dunn going for the name and now Jolley going for, I presume, the cheap option.

Unfortunately due to work I haven’t managed to see a game when we were allowed, and unfortunately I think my fear of never seeing my team play in the football league is about to happen.
everyone is entitled to their opinion, deal with it

Sounds rather like a game from earlier in the season. Losing by one goal was Dunn's speciality.

Why? For the most part we weren't losing games by big margins under Dunn either. Performances and results largely followed a similar pattern to tonight.

Appointing Dunn was a dreadful dreadful decision, it almost can't be overstated how bad that was. So far though, appointing Jolley doesn't look much better. There has been no improvement at all so far.

Will the Trust be running buses to Aldershot, Chesterfield, etc., next season?

Looking back on earlier performances, I think even though we weren't on the back of heavy defeats we looked more likely to concede trying to play it out from the back and getting caught in possession. Whoops, yes it happened tonight and once again punished, but we were getting caught in possession all the time early on. I though we looked a lot more solid defensively.

We don't even look like scoring, finding it hard to see where a goal is coming from

Yeah. Freak mistakes can happen doesn't make him a bad player. He looks very good, wins almost every header and competes well.

Said it before, will say it again (as I'm Sam) you can only win a game of football if you score some freakin' goals.

The last time we scored 2 goals in open play was 7 games ago on Boxing Day v Port Vale.

In the last 6 games, we have scored only 1 goal in open play (Josh Kay v S'thorpe Jan 16).

That's 540 minutes of football. Give me a break.

Other than that, Scott 'fall-down' Quigley has scored 2 penalties. Just as well, as there's not a cat in hells chance we'll ever score from other set-pieces, free-kicks or corners.

Mr Jolley can you please address the vital question of goal scoring. What is your plan? Do you have one? It's certainly not obvious to the fans. There's no shape to the team. No strategy that is detectable.

If we do not start to put the ball in the back of the net, it's curtains, as for sure as God made little green apples, our opponents will put the ball in the back of our net!!!

Sorry to say I don't see any improvement in the overall bunch you've brought in, over the overall bunch Dunn brought in, most of whom have now exited. Hope your signings have not been an expensive exercise in futility.

The fans had so much hope in you, your signings, but unfortunately the expectation and anticipation is fading fast as we're not seeing the results we had hoped for and which we need and expected. It's your team Michael.

There's certainly been no added entertainment value, but we don't care, just give us some victories for goodness sake.

I could see the team starting to play better.Granted Quigley looked a bit frustrated again as he is used to playing with a partner up front with the ball being passed to him on the ground and not these high crosses which we seem to be seeing a lot of at the moment We held our own against Salford till we made that one mistake. The difference was this time the team did not give up.Ok the team is not yet the finished article and perhaps if Jamie Devitt was fit the result may have been different. This is virtually a new team who have hardly played together.Salford was the team that had just inflicted a heavy defeat on Cambridge, so I don't think people should give up hope just yet.

Looks like the club got rid of one godawful manager, only to replace him with another godawful manager.

No chance of that geordie asking any of them questions in his interview.
It's what he should be asking but won't.

We cannot rely on the Sam Allardyce book of survival working for us as it wholly dependent on battling like a unit eliminating mistakes and pinching a goal if you can!
We just can’t stop making mistakes, don’t have enough that seem to have a battle in them and can’t buy a goal at the minute! 🥺
Yes we have been in worse situations and turned it around, but even with my optimism the ultimate dream of the return to the promised land and sustainability is keeping me awake at night all far too often of late!
