Re: Barrow v Morecambe match thread
it won't but thr argument would be how would the national league work with no relegation? the teams at the bottom would have no incentive to win or lose near the end of the season..
Re: Barrow v Morecambe match thread
Kelly was Dunn’s mate he has no ties to Jolly so it may be different nowNB Bluebird wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 5:00 pmI agree with you.Middleton Nick wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 4:59 pm He's got to go now and leave Kelly in temporary charge until we can find someone who actually knows what to do. Kelly stated last time that he didn't want the job of manager.

Re: Barrow v Morecambe match thread
Manager should have been on the teams back immediately we scored organising, making sure every one their job . Not stood arms folded silent watching it all unfold in front of him as he seems to do all game !.McMark wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 4:47 pm We have found it so hard to score of late due to the way we set ourselves up to play and then what did we do, switch off like a kids team. That wasn’t the managers fault it was criminal from our defence. But the way we have set ourselves up to play the game from the offset is clearly the managers fault and simply isn’t good enough and leaves us in a very precarious position going forward!!![]()

Michael Jolley should be criminally charged with false and misleading Statements that he is a Football Manager.

Re: Barrow v Morecambe match thread
Something must work eventually!
Let's face it, he's a desperate manager without a clue.
Also a questionable character who was never going to help us build the right mentality for a relegation struggle. Just look at his treatment of top pros like Jason Taylor, Hird and Brown. A poor appointment.
Re: Barrow v Morecambe match thread
Can't believe how many poor passes i saw today. Some couldn't even pass to a player right next yo them. Few at the back were utter shocking ! Wheres this new striker ? We had about 6 crosses in thr box and not 1 forward taking a chance
Re: Barrow v Morecambe match thread
How do we actually set up, what is it we are actually trying to achieve? Two full backs at right/left midfield, we play Donohue who is a left back at centre mid who looks absolutely clueless. We play route one football with Quigley up top who’s never won a header in his life. Fair enough if we are going to play route one football then why didn’t we sign a target man to hit? Thought Dunn didn’t know what he was doing but crikey Jolley is just making it up as he goes along absolute fraud
Re: Barrow v Morecambe match thread
And thats what happens when you have someone in charge who has never played the game. I have no clue what has happened to our players under the management of Dunn and now Jolley but what I do know is, we have got progressively worse as this season has gone on. I just cannot see any positives to cling on to at present.
Re: Barrow v Morecambe match thread
I’m like you it’s torn my heart to shreds watching this season unfold. It unfortunately falls on the shoulders of a board of directors that know absolutely zilch about football. I thought Dunn was a joke and couldn’t believe they would appoint some fraud like Jolley.

Fifteen hundred defenders and we can’t defend.
Hard to criticise some more than others....but Banks, what does he do? Donohue, should never put on a Barrow shirt again. Many many more as well that haven’t improved the team in any way whatsoever. And to think MJ has dropped better players to bring some of this shite in..!
I’m afraid the club have been sold a story by MJ during the interview process and they’ve swallowed it hook line and sinker. Having no one at the club with a proper football background to give advice when interviewing definitely hasn’t helped.

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
Re: Barrow v Morecambe match thread
I thought our chances of staying up would hinge on today's performance - I guess that's the answer.
Apart from five minutes where we actually looked like we could play, that was as awful as that 6-0 defeat (Gainsborough?) in the Conference North. Eardley and Donohue I'm not convinced they weren't drunk, Barry may as well have not bothered coming back from injury, Quigley couldn't kick the ball half the time - his goal keeps him in the line-up for another month - Devitt was weak as [SwearFilter], Banks thinks he's Pirlo but has hardly found a man with a pass, Davies, Jones and Brough only serve to show how much we miss Platt. Dixon, you're alright.

Re: Barrow v Morecambe match thread
Donohue and Banks both looked good signings on paper, both have been dreadful
Devitt, Davies are obviously decent players but we are playing them to get fit, neither have had much game time this season and its showing massively
Even Eardley had a shocker today
Needed a dogs of war mentality and instead we are just drifting along allowing teams the freedom of furness to pick a pass, a shot, whatever they want
