I really believed we'd start to see what the manager was trying to achieve but I'm left with no idea.
I don't think he knows himself.

As Goody says one of our players played in four different positions today.

They must be as baffled as us!

they'll be loads of players with clubs with no affiliation with their towns, the problem we have is all about timing ,in January unless you spend money on quality players you'll get the one's nobody wants and they all know if we get relegated they won't be here ! unfortunately we're in a bad situation and it's unfortunately not looking good !

“Regardless of how good our football is, we need to look and play like a team so we will speak very openly on Monday. I will put my views across and the players will have an opportunity to put their views forward too.
Why's he waiting until Monday? Should drag them in for extra training tomorrow.

Adam and Goody need to prod him a bit and he can be gone tomorrow. It wouldn't take much for him to repeat his Grimsby episode.

From the internet... Michael Jolley was sacked by Grimsby Town after he had a shocking private rant with a radio station which saw him swear 58 times, it's been revealed. Jolley aimed his anger at two local radio journalists at Radio Humberside where he ending up saying the f-word a total of 58 times in the space of four minutes.
No doubt it was something along the lines of 'can you explain your tactics today as none of the players seemed to have a clue as to what they were supposed to be doing, and the spectators were baffled as well?'

Josh Kay was ace as well imo, fighter for the club and created chances, unlucky to hit the post

Interesting radio interview from Jolley, it was the first time I felt he wasn't bullshitting me. "Completely unacceptable,"I agree. Bafflingly today we set up in a deep compact 442 and passed it short into midfield in difficult conditions and continually gave possession away in our own half. I think Goodwin summed it up correctly on the radio, you just can't play out of that shape, when we opened out after conceding late in the first half we briefly showed we can play. The pattern is familiar though, we can't hold out past the 30 minute mark before conceding.
I think Tuesday is critical, Jolley also questioned the character of the players, that's usually something you hear from managers at the end of their reign. It was inevitable, given all the changes and the treatment of other players that perhaps some of the squad aren't fully behind him, yet equally some of his own signings are just going through the motions and clearly don't care. So I think on Tuesday we'll see the 11 players he feels have his back selected and they will fight to win every ball. He'll double down on his way of playing and we'll try and get that clean sheet.

Sorry I meant, that's how Jolley will see the game on Tuesday, what actually happens will tell us a lot about if the dressing room is behind him or not.

We will get mullered on Tuesday. Dixon will be under siege but despite his valiant effort the ball will be in the back of his net at least four times

Remember when we were absolutely shite under Aidy Pennock, we couldn’t even beat some 12 year olds to guarantee our safety and had to rely on other teams losing? At least the players really looked like they were just shit but were trying their hardest, these lot don’t
At least we could actually attend and give our backing to our club to try and help us stay up, now we have ifollow
We had Luke James who got Player Of The Season from us fans for his goals but also for the sheer amount of effort he put in each week. We are now in League Two and even me (who will freely admit has been very critical of him as a league player) wants Luke James back in the team purely so someone grafts their [SwearFilter] off for ninety minutes

I really did think we would stay up until today but my hope has almost gone; that was as shambolic as it was embarrassing. No formation, no structure, no idea

Which is exactly all that we needed before Dunn and Jolley brought in about 20 players between them! The first crucial mistake was not offering to give Rooney a 3 year contract and double his wages to keep him and the second was not spending more money on no more than 4 GOOD players we needed instead of squandering it on lots of players who were either past their best or not good enough! The problem is that we were lucky enough to have a good manager last season who has been replaced by 2 mediocre ones. Just watch how Bolton are moving up the league now that Evatt has control of bringing in his own players. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they end up in the playoffs.
