The extreme unhappiness expressed on here after yesterday's defeat might well have helped the board come to their decision. It's a sensible decision anyway given that Kelly seemed to have steadied the ship after Dunn's departure.

Wow, absolutely amazed. Some of the suggestions on here to sack him seemed ridiculous to me. I can only imagine there must have been some serious dissent within the squad or something going on behind the scenes.

Maybe the new players are decent if they know where they're meant to be playing, or not changing position every 10 minutes.

according to the list someone else posted on another thread our official EFL squad named 20 players + the under 21 players. We are allowed 22 players over 21 - so in theory we could un-furlough 2 of them.

These are the 20: 1 - Banks, Oliver Ian *2 - Barry, Bradley Oliver *3 - Beadling, Thomas Christopher *4 - Bramall, Daniel Luke5 - Brough, Patrick John *6 - Davies, Thomas Christopher *7 - Devitt, Jamie Martin *8 - Dixon, Joel Stephen *9 - Donohue, Dion James 10 - Eardley, Neal James *11 - Hardcastle, Lewis James *12 - James, Luke *13 - Jones, James Oliver 14 - Kay, Joshua William 15 - Lillis, Joshua Mark *16 - Ndjoli, Mikael Bongili *17 - Ntlhe, Kgosietsile *18 - Platt, Matthew James *19 - Quigley, Scott David *20 - Taylor, Christopher David *

So, yes, looks like room for two - plus, of course, the U21s

If we go down, it's because we deserve to. This season has been a shambles.

Good luck Rob Kelly, hope you can fix this but it's not looking good for us.

Does that beat Clough's 44 days at Leeds?

Does this mean we have had to pay up his 2.5 year contract in full?

It's clear there was something wrong but it begs the question how he managed to do it at Grimsby and with the general support of their fans.

How many players have been placed on furlough and how many vital cogs are among them?

To be honest I am shocked but relieved. Kelly now has a chance to keep us in the EFL.

Well done to the Board - that took balls.
Let’s all get behind Rob Kelly now whatever the results are - we know that he will do his best and in the correct manner.
Good luck Rob.

Thought he would have got a few more games but the body language between Kelly the rest of the bench and him spoke volumes never seen a team so unorganised wonder if his temper went behind the scenes nces felt sorry for Dunn but never warmed to jolly 100% behind rob kelly hope they can bring Hird in to help him and Jason Taylor
