Where was Ndjoli yesterday, we said we needed to sign a striker and I dont think he was even on the bench !!. I would certainly start Goodridge, he looks a good footballer with the glimpses we have had of him. We must be the laughing stock at the moment. If I recall correctly we went through 4 or was it 5 managers 1985-86, I cant spell one of them!but I think he lasted 4 games, wadell? lasted 11 in the late 80

League Two side Barrow have appointed former Grimsby boss Michael Jolley as their new manager on a deal until 2023.

The 43-year-old left the Mariners in November 2019 after almost two years in charge at Blundell Park.

Jolley replaces David Dunn who departed the Bluebirds on 13 December having only won two of his 22 games in charge.

"The calibre of the candidates was extremely high but Michael impressed us during two rigorous interviews," said Barrow chairman Paul Hornby.

"He also comes with a number of excellent references from people within football and, therefore, it was a unanimous decision by all the owners that he was the man for the job."

2 months is a long time in football.

Thought it was odd, in the interview at the weekend Jolley mentioned we’re a possession based football team ( or something similar) yet the last 2-3 games have been mainly hoof ball. The board must have watched it and thought it was a replay of the Coz era.

Maybe wrong but I think Joe W was only ever Assistant manager. I think Cooke and Murphy were only caretakers so can hardly be included in a list of 'managers'

Rob if you read this forum I wish you all the luck in the world. Perhaps you could pass this on to the players. I have waited 48 years to see my team in the football league again, if we get relegated this season I doubt will see it again. Let's be honest our Board have integrity ,honesty,naivety but are fans ,it's a bit like Boris Johnson meeting a girl on her first night out,promises the World and does a runner other Politicians are available.

Thanks goodness the board had the guts, belief and commitment to realise that removing the manager was our only remaining chance of keeping our league status.
How did we get it so wrong, did they seek advice from experienced league professionals who they could call on before appointing Jolley or did they use the same interview techniques as they would to interview a turnstile operator?
Fortunately they have appointed an experienced coach in Rob Kelly and l’m sure he has the total support of all the clubs supporters and followers, it’s now down to the team to show us your worth your place. Good luck Rob.
