Target Man Taylor!
Hi guys,
After watching Saturdays game it’s clear to see J.Taylor can be our new number 9!
Bring Beads back in DM and push Tayls up with Quigs?
Would cause defender nightmares and could be a perfect Plan B or should I say A throughout March?

I would rank JT’s chances of becoming a frontman for Barrow behind everyone reading this. He makes Alex Ray-Harvey look like a goal machine.

Right idea - wrong man ! Those of us of a certain age will remember Vic Halom converting Barry Diamond from a ratting one-tackle-away-from-a red-card midfielder to a 40-odd goal striker the sort of gamble that was fairly prevalent in the game then.Is there anyone in the current squad who could be similarly adapted ?

As an out-and-out striker - no. I think we'd have found him by now.SKIPPER wrote: ↑Mon Mar 08, 2021 2:30 pm Right idea - wrong man ! However I would say that we've missed the threat caused by Mike Jones roving forward behind the front two. He has a heck of a whack on him and a good brain. I even think we've missed Platt who can pose an alternative aerial threat to Quigley at set pieces. The loss of these two has reduced our variety and therefore made us easier to defend against.

Aerial threat? We don't have any aerial threat.

Have we scored more than 1 goal from a header this season? Taylor up front ????? He was poor on Saturday and looked knackered. Not really in the team to pass and shoot so can't see him playing no10 anytime soon
