If request is coming indirectly from manager I think we should respect his opinion and wait a while. No doubt he will intimate when appropriate time is right. Not a lot to ask .Don’t want to jinx anything or put ideas of complacency on team.Way to go yet.

the players will know all about the flag by now - "it goes up when we're safe" is just another small added incentive for the team.

Respect the club's request by all means but the team will still be Kelly's Heroes whether we avoid relegation or not :D

Quite funny this.
A few weeks back, under Jolley.
Terrible signings, selection, tactics
Jolley out.....lost the dressing room. Wont score a goal in open play again this season. Defense like a sieve.
Roll on a few weeks
Kelly got us organised and difficult to beat.
League table a lot pleasing on the eye.
Given us a good chance of avoiding the drop.

And are we really bothered about a flag ??

Agree it’s funny but if manager thinks this important I happily support him and yes as someone else said the effort the team now putting it they will be Kelly’s heroes whatever outcome.

Sounds like Rob Kelly agrees with me.

Sadly I was shut down by the forum dinosaurs before it was realised this was an idea which was poorly thought through.

What I don't understand is this: There are no fans in the ground. If there were, by now someone would have come up with a Kelly's Heroes song that many would be singing on the terraces. Would he have have asked for that to stop?

I think this was a way of us 'verbalising' our support, in a different medium and showing the team we were with them. Bit of a shame but hopefully will be on display when we are mathematically safe? Is that the idea?

In all seriousness about the plane banner - how much would one of those cost? Would be good to have one flying over Barrow when we survive !

I agree about holding off with the flag. The pressure it puts on manager and team has greater potential to go wrong than it does to gee them up. We (mainly the fans) have addressed accusations of being a tin-pot club over the years, and the backlash, should the wheels fall off, would be thrown back in our faces. Make it a permanent fixture when we reach safety by all means...but let's get there first.

So, something of a conundrum then. Thing is, the team have been fighting tooth and nail for us since RK took command. Whatever happens from here on in they have already earned the accolade in my opinion.
We will foller the soccer, over land and sea...
