Very scrappy game. We’ve been relatively poor compared to recent games but Grimsby have defended well also, in particular the way they’ve bossed Quigley. Unless they’ve got a knock I’m sure we’ll see Brough and Devitt at some point in the second half and go more attacking, at the moment there’s no width so James and Quigley are very isolated

Hopefully a game of two halves we are used too and we come onto second half, they've set up for a draw.

Anyone know why Brough is on the bench?

Utter poor 1st half ! Can't string 2 passes together. Grismby are going to fight for it so we need to toughen up but C.Taylor has done nothing and why is Barry on the left ? Offering absolutely nothing in attack

Scrappy match.Hopefully Barrow can get the breakthrough in the second half. May even come off a penalty the way Grimsby are playing. Seen a few dubious tactics, ie shirt pulling and holding onto our players.Come on the Bluebirds :scarf: :scarf:

30 mph wind driving in off the sea not helping our cause whatsoever first half. Hopefully we can get the ball down a bit second half in the final third and give their defence something to think about!

So we will have to give everything to get something. Its no excuse to say another team wants it more.

Might not be pretty but 0-0 won't be a bad result.

Scrappy. They've done more in possession. They aren't giving us a second, closing down at every opportunity. Usually can't keep up that intensity throughout the game hopefully we will have some more space after 60+ mins

Poor to watch but hard to criticise. Grimsby doing what we did v Bolton, Oldham etc - fighting for everything, pressing, closing down. The long ball in the wind made it difficult for our defence to play the ball forward and keep possession. I think it will be easier for us second half.
