Lets hope that does nt spark Grimbsy on a run now onto the next one.
All opinions expressed are my own , not here to cause kick off just enact debate.

Calvin Andrew holding the ball well since his introduction.
Re: Barrow v Grimsby match thread
Until they scored we had spent almost the whole game giving the ball away ... either by passing to the opposition , or simply booting the ball aimlessly forward into space ...The result ...Grimsby gained in confidence ...as a result of almost unbroken opportunities to set up attacks. You can't blame the conditions or the pitch ...( same for both teams ). After they scored we started moving better off the ball , attempting to retain possession and create chances ...but it was all rather frantic by that stage ...It was what we should have been doing from the start. It is difficult to understand what the game plan was , or why it wasn't firmly changed at half time .

I don't understand that second half i thought we'd have attacked them but too little too late , no urgency no desire I'm lost for word's!
Re: Barrow v Grimsby match thread
Big result for Grimsby, very frustrating for us!
Re: Barrow v Grimsby match thread
Blew a great chance to climb to 19th and put some real distance between us and the bottom 2

Very poor performance after the last 4 games. Credit to Luke James. Easily the stand out player for us and never stops running and chasing.
Poor game all round decided by one moment of quality.
Small positive, Andrew looked good holding the ball and winning aerial battles.

We hate Carlisle United, we hate Workington too (and Morecambe), we hate Accrington Stanley but Barrow we love you

[SwearFilter] poor performance, no idea why we set up that way, we didn't look like scoring whatsoever, game was a must win and we were as poor as ive seen this season!

Poor result but other results went ok. Still in a good position compared to where we were.

Re: Barrow v Grimsby match thread
Some very poor individual performances out there tonight
Re: Barrow v Grimsby match thread
That was dreadful. We played for a point (awful plan against a crap team) and got caught out. Playing a flat back five and a midfield of Taylor, Taylor and Beadling isn't going to get an equaliser either, so why wait til the 87th minute to get a forward on?
At least we now know we're not actually that good - can't afford to be this complacent again until safety is secured.

Much has Kelly has worked miracles thus far, that was an awful set up tonight. I assume Brough needed a rest but switching Barry to the left made us ineffectual on both sides as Chris Taylor is a waste of oxygen. We offered nothing tonight and got what we deserved.

Bad game; the (slightly) better team deservedly won. Easy to say with hindsight but Brough and Devitt should have been on at 0v0, not 1v0 down. One of those nights where Quigs doesn’t really get a sniff and then the rest of the team doesn’t look like scoring
At least Southend or Colchester didn’t win
