I was in Harrogate yesterday evening and driving home about 20.15 I listened to commentary of Harrogate v Leyton Orient. It was very poor. The summariser/co-commentator in particular just kept repeating himself and gave no tactical insights or illuminating comments. Dan Jones scored with a looping header to get Harrogate back into the game and I think he must have said at least 10 times that the goalkeeper should have done better to save it.Hadrian wrote: ↑Tue Apr 13, 2021 11:10 pmAgreed.SayitagainSam wrote: ↑Tue Apr 13, 2021 7:31 pm As per usual, excellent commentary by Adam and analysis by John. You might not always agree with Goody, but at least he has opinions and expresses them. Their words add a lot to the entertainment value to the game. I appreciate that we have them compared to listening to several away game commentators.
Adam is well-prepared, knowledgeable and enthusiastic.
Goody is straight, says it how he sees it, talks a lot of sense and has great throwaway lines.
Incidentally, Dan Jones then did another looping header, but this time back to his own keeper. It was intercepted and Johnston scored for Orient.
I was only listening in hopes of getting a score update from Barrow, but no other games were mentioned. Another thing that we get from Adam's commentary.
