Remaining Games
Remaining Games
Well we have done it but I hope the team manage to win the last two games and help send Southend down save a long journey.
Ironical that our last game is against Exeter that was the same when we got voted out of the league and we got hammered 7- 1 let's pay them back.
Thanks to the Board who made mistakes and were proactive and resolved them.
Rob Kelly and staff for their hardwork and to Lewis Hardcastle.
Let's remember those who are now watching from above

Re: Remaining Games
Can't see us winning another game this season. Back to the National League for us.
Re: Remaining Games
On a more serious note, Scunny are on 6 game losing streak. Looking at the GD, I'd say Southend could well stay up with a couple of 3-0 wins. Scunny have Bradford (A) and Stevenage (H) which are both games they could easily lose. Still don't think Southend will beat Newport and Barrow but if I was them I'd still have some hope.
Re: Remaining Games
You know, for once, I really don't care what happens to other clubs. We've (or RK in particular) taken care of our side of business. What interests me in last two games is how we line up and who plays in those games.RedWeb wrote: ↑Wed Apr 28, 2021 10:52 am On a more serious note, Scunny are on 6 game losing streak. Re: Remaining Games
Oh aye, don't disagree. Just saying I think Barrow should keep the flip-flops off for another couple of games. Nobody has done us any favours so we should give it everything to win these 2 matches against sides who still have things to play for i.e. be as competitive as possible.
Re: Remaining Games
I completely agree.
Saturday's game in particular is not the one for not trying, and any professional should take to the field wanting to win, as we did last night.
Don't know whether it still is, but it used to be the case that clubs were fined if they fielded a weakened side if there was something at stake, so I hope we don't go down that route on Saturday.
Yes the manager has to see some of the fringe players in match action but not this week.

Re: Remaining Games
It should be a good game on saturday especially if southend are going for it and we can play with confidence and without fear

Re: Remaining Games
I have absolutely no doubt that Kelly, Hird etc will take these last two games very seriously. Let’s not be forgetting they are all (potentially) auditioning for jobs still.......
