I like Matt Platt, but there have been a few times this season when he has been a bit casual and we have paid for it, or nearly done so. Bobby Thomas is showing how to do it, very solid. Again, with Josh Kay is great going forward but John Goodwin is right, we don’t want him defending on the edge of the box. Good move as I type this, Quigs goal disallowed, but well taken.

That's typical of Josh Kay tackling when you are coming in from behind cost Barrow a goal, can see why Kelly does not pick him, also Southends long throws are illegal if you watch he is twisting it round his neck to get the distance should be thrown above the head with arms equal.

I can see flashes of what Devitt could bring to our attack. It's a pity he hasn't featured more and sadly, it doesn't look as if he will be fit enough to be a regular next season.
