Looking at it, it may have been better to have four rows of raised seats right at the back along to the segregation area and standing in front.

The seats in there will be ok, its the standing to the side that will be poor views. We also have to think about away fans wheelchair users as well. I hope we are not going to send away fans with wheelchairs to the opposite end of the ground, away from their own fans. That will be very poor if that is the case. Sorry Barrow- as a fan, I would be extremely peeved to travel all the way to see my team only to be directed to the one wheelchair shelter at the other end of the ground. I hope we can find a way around this. Even it means taking fans with wheelchairs pitch side to get around the HS End terrace steps.

I was thinking more along the lines of what Paul Hornby said that "I'd like to re-assure supporters we have something very special planned. It's not going to be a few hundred seats 'plonked' in the ground." So if it is 'something special' and the Cross Bar is to be re-configured/extended it could be that; I think it's doable, would provide a new stand and more commercial space and would make the Steelworks End look a whole lot better. Failing that the west terrace area looks prime real estate but would be difficult to match up to the existing Brian Arrowsmith stand.

whatever the club decides it's always going to be difficult to build anything where we are situated, there's little room to make it into a "modern stadium " ,there's inadequate parking facilities and when crowds leave the ground it's really congested and put away fans into the mix difficult to segregate fans, if not impossible.
The ideal situation would be to move away before all the purists go mental I'm only thinking about what would be best for the club moving forward, you could have a new complex with hotel bowling alley etc ,I know it seems like fantasy but I'm sure Paul Hornby will have looked at this as jonty has already stated we shouldn't be wasting money on a stadium that is no where near where we want it ,financially I believe this could be done for example Southend are building flats in their new proposed stadium plans and they're doing this in conjunction with Homes England .

I think this perennial debate divides the supporters into those who had a Meccano set when they were young and those who had Action Man (who was basically a doll by the way).

A few years ago I was speaking to a wheelchair user at work who didn't go due to the narrow pavements outside, said it was a nightmare on a matchday.
Not clubs fault, I'm not asking them to widen pavements. Just saying.

As much as I love HS- I don't think it can never be the modern stadium we need. It is totally hemmed in and a planning nightmare. We have a three sided ground and the fact we are spending more money on the Crossbar just to get changing rooms up to spec tells me that end is a long way off being bulldozed.

We really do need a new ground something like the York community stadium
