If you are so sure its the same as the Rooney situation which it is nt. Ask the owners on the next online Q and A. Rooney had prior offers his agent had lined it all up Rooney at the end was poison. Joel is a cracking lad do not damage his character comparing him to Rooney. Good on the lad if it all works out. We lose out on the money side.

Dixon will have been offered an extension at some point in the last 12 months, and he has clearly said he wants to test himself at a higher level - how difficult is that for you to understand?

If indeed Evatt is interested in signing him, you really think he didn't make that approach until a few months ago? That's pretty naive.

What should Spurs have done when Sol Campbell decided he could play for a bigger club? By your logic, they should have just given him a new contract...

Nobody had come in for him until Bolton how many times do I have to say this honestly. The board where waiting to give him a new deal this summer. Not been offered before until
Bolton came sniffing complacency.

If a player is out of contract, you cannot force him to sign, I am sure the powers that be have spoken to him despite not knowing on the outcome of relegation they would do this with any player possible with one contract for the National league and one for E.F.L. I believe the 2 year restriction for Bolton would not have been enforceable due to "restriction of work" law.
