Next Seasons league.

Well, now we are nice and safe, I thought I'd just have a look at where I can look forward to travelling to next season. Have been looking at the scenarios for the clubs in League 2 next season and the cost of travelling to away games for both the club and us supporters and it doesn't make good reading. From what i can see, the worst thing that could happen is Morecambe and Bolton getting automatic promotion today and Tranmere getting into and then winning the playoffs. Then we have the distinct possibility of Torquay and Sutton getting promoted from the National league whilst we lose Grimsby. We already have Swindon, Northampton and Bristol Rovers coming down out of league 1 with only Rochdale the only northern team coming down. 2021-22 could well be a tiring and very expensive season for the club and us

The scenario is much better than us being in the NL where the vast majority of the games are a long journey down south. However our league finishes off we are much better off mileage wise.

Them 3 going up would be great , would open up a lot off players to us that are North West based looking for new clubs as a large amount off all three squads wont make the jump to league 1.

If Salford get in the play offs then they could go up in place of Tranmere. But lots of things need to go their way for that to happen. There are advantages of 3 NW clubs going up as PerthBluebird states but training in Knutsford area is also a big advantage for us to pick up players. However, it's getting the management structure right that's the key! There will still be Carlisle, Rochdale, Oldham, one of Tranmere/Salford plus the two Yorkshire teams in our division if 3 go up plus the possibility of someone like Stockport coming up from the NL next season. It will be a bit clearer come 5pm today. I'm just delighted we are not climbing up the walls today hoping we survive.

Pretty confident Bolton would bring more if they were to come to Holker St.

How many away fans does HS hold?

While it's a trek from Bristol or Swindon, if you got either of those on a Saturday I think they'd take a decent number of fans. They'll probably be among the better supported teams, especially if they were doing well. Neither club would have played you since the late 1960s and both would hope to go up next season, so anyone looking to notch up another new ground might think it's the 2021/22 season or never. (Same goes for Harrogate away as well).

We are a new ground for many so that should entice a few next season.

Still be some good northern clubs like Rochdale,Bradford,Oldham,Carlisle,Port Vale they should all bring a decent away following we could also still end up with morecambe and tranmere and possibly Stockport or hartlepool aswell so some good teams from the North with decent followings I'd say we could sell out our away allocation a few times next seasonas I'd say we would give up around 1k tickets

Hollywood Wrexham are still in with a shout of the play-offs and they would certainly bring a good following especially if it was a Saturday.
