It's not Kelly...
Re: It's not Kelly...
Big thanks to Rob for keeping us up, but that's now history. Next man up!
Let the speculation begin.
How about giving Peter Atherton a chance at management?

It's all go this afternoon, something in the water, who is next ?
Re: It's not Kelly...
Is he staying at the club ? In his old capacity
Re: It's not Kelly...
Sort of half expected it but half hoped he would of given it a real go next season as we could do with some continuity going forward. Thank’s Rob helped us turn a massive corner by instilling self belief into the players, at least Brian will get out more!
Just hope we get it right this time

Thank you Rob Kelly, what a man
Re: It's not Kelly...
I doubt it. I think he willl want to be closer to home - Chesterfield???, and the new man will presumably want to bring in his own support staff.
However - a massive thanks is due to Rob, and I hope he fares well in the future.
Re: It's not Kelly...
It was obvious from the start he was not happy in the role,he turned down bigger jobs when assistant elsewhere.
A big thank you for what you have done ,would have been easy to leave but you have values and integrity .

Re: It's not Kelly...
He has said all along that he did not want the manager’s role
Re: It's not Kelly...
So who’s in the frame. Whoever is successful let’s hope it’s a more thorough selection process than with Dunn

Re: It's not Kelly...
I think Sam Hird could be offered the managers job only if Rob will stay as his assistant, if Rob goes so does Sam. They got a great team spirit going and Hird would be a lot cheaper than most other contenders. I think it could work.

Re: It's not Kelly...
Did very well for us after Jolley's departure and kept us in the league with the help of Hird and McDonald. I wasn't sure he was the man for the job but the search is on for someone to take the helm and lead us on.
