(Another) New Manager Discussion
Re: (Another) New Manager Discussion
Has to be confident and believe we can be the best. Has a vision/ plan for the footballing side. Absolutely no small time Barrow, big step up inferiority complex talk. Has to break that mentality. We are basically a club looking to raise our profile amongst our peers. Thats it for me
"To achieve anything and to get to the Football League, we have to expect to win every game. I've got to get everyone believing that we can, and I will work hard to embed that mentality into the players, the town, the board and whoever else” Ian Evatt.

Walsall have appointed Matt Taylor as their new manager.....to be assisted by Neil McDonald
Re: (Another) New Manager Discussion
Had to check which Matt Taylor that was - would have been surprised if it was the Exeter one. The interesting thing for Barrow is Neil McDonald. Suggests a clear out on the Holker Street bench.HenneysKnee wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 12:40 pm Walsall have appointed Matt Taylor as their new manager.....to be assisted by Neil McDonald

I agree. He's got an awful record.

Seems the Almighty isn't listening to your prayers. Is it something in your past?

Only a bookies favourite. He doesn’t seem to fit the no. 1 criterion of an experienced L2/L1 manager (barring 2 years at Mansfield - was that L2 or Conference)

ADAM MURRAYS Managerial Record:
Re: BBC Radio Cumbria Sport
Lazy journalism. Just writing a story based on bookie's odds. Obviously no real news to report.SayitagainSam wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 7:31 pm Seems the Almighty isn't listening to your prayers. Is it something in your past?

Sounds exactly the same as Jolley at Grimsby.saltcellar wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 8:26 pm Kept them up first year, then mid table 2nd year before resigning.

Think it'll be similar to last time, be someone off the radar, hopefully not Adam Murray.

The amount of money we paid Evatt then Dunn.
I'm sure we can do better than Murray.

As usual probably nothing in it but John McGreal is the market mover over the last couple of days. That’s someone I would be happy with
