(Another) New Manager Discussion

For all things Barrow AFC. Keep discussions civil and fair, we're all Barrow aren't we!

Doubt that. Firstly because if I as a board member suspected that was going through his mind, I'd disengage immediately. Secondly, I cant see Adams leaving if they won promotion. If they dont and he left for Bradford, Morecambe would be left with a playing budget probably less than ours and half of their players will be off on better contracts elsewhere (some will even if they are promoted). Geographically we train each day south of Manchester so theres no advantage there.

One reason that Adams is everybody's favorite is that he was probably very cheap to recruit. When he arrived it was as an unknown former manager of a topsy turvy Ross County . Nobody wanted him. I would be surprised if there was a long line of prestige managers queuing up for that job should he vacate it - unless they were in L1.

Barrow AFC are the priority. If that is an issue with any potential manager then we don't want him. They either want to manage Barrow or they don't. If the board think anyone is using delaying tactics for the above reason then they should dump that option now.

"Yep, that's fine - let us know if Morecambe offer you a job, if not we'll take you."

Maybe it's the terms in which Mark Cooper left Forest Green.
Might not be able to join Barrow until the season ends, which will be after the league 2 play off final on Monday.

That's usually the case and probably what's causing the 'delay'.

find that hard to believe we're in the 21st century think things have moved on since then and if that's the case how are other managers being announced?
Also Paul Hornby said 10 to 14 days jot oh by the way we've got to wait till the season ends before we can announce it !
