pre match music

Post by stub » Sat May 29, 2021 2:38 pm

having listened to mark coopers interview yesterday he said he wanted holker st to be a place that the opposition dont like to come to, which lead me to thinking about getting the holker end in full cry as the teams enter the pitch. With the roof now on im guessing the noise from there could be intimidating to our opponents and im suggesting the guys who do the music in the pressbox could at about 14-50 blast out the" three lions tune " followed by vindaloo !!!! im sure the holker end could do a brilliant version of vindaloo , i can hear it now " were gonna score one more than you " what you guys think ? what you think adam johnson ? lets get the place rocking !!!!!!!!

Maria by scooter, goal music. It's what the best clubs do.

All these transatlantic fads being adopted these days, like playing music when a goal is scored (Heaven forbid!) and all these stupid machines that belch streamers and flames upwards at rugby internationals and cup finals. In the Good Old Days the Barrow team used to come onto the pitch to the sound of 'Entry of the Gladiators' - although there were times when I thought that 'Dance of the Sugar Plum fairy' might have been more appropriate ;)

Did Ian Evatt not want 'Glad All Over' played when Barrow scored?
Maybe the new manager will have his own choice.

This may be a daft question, but with larger travelling support, wont the Holker street end be out of bounds for Barrow fans a lot more ?

If you look at the original post it mentions the noise under the new roof at the Holker street end, hence the question !!

Afternoon kick off:
Waiting for walkout:
Fatboy Slim - Right Here Right Now
Walkout:
The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army
Waiting for kickoff:
Zombie Nation - Kernkraft 400

Evening kick off:
Waiting for walkout:
Guns N’ Roses - Live And Let Die
Walkout:
Metallica - Enter Sandman
Waiting for kickoff:
Faithless - Insomnia

The Dave Clark Five - Glad All Over is excellent post goal music, I’d keep that.

Not a fan of music after goals. Playing goal music just takes away the moment when fans are celebrating and for me it adds nothing. Glad All Over at the end of a match we've won would be ok

"To achieve anything and to get to the Football League, we have to expect to win every game. I've got to get everyone believing that we can, and I will work hard to embed that mentality into the players, the town, the board and whoever else” Ian Evatt.
