Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't a member of the clubs board involved in running the test events.? That to me says the club was involvedspirit of 1990 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 25, 2021 6:36 pmliverpoolann wrote: ↑Fri Jun 25, 2021 6:13 pm Perhaps some moaning would like to volunteer to assist these events .
But that’s not the point Anne, the reason we had the test events was to iron out any potential problems that might arise, saying it’s now the club who will be running it at the Bolton game without being involved in the trial events just doesn’t make sense.
It’s definitely a baffling decision.

I’m actually talking about the staff, they’ll be the ones doing the running around. Not sure how you’ve mistaken what I meant.Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Fri Jun 25, 2021 6:51 pmCorrect me if I'm wrong but wasn't a member of the clubs board involved in running the test events.? Well it always was going to be eventually run by staff paid for by club.Hospitality guy presumably liaising re numbers etc required with club having evaluated the trust run test events.Never a convenient time to hand over baton so surely best to do now and get all sorted before the Bolton friendly when there will be a lot more people at game and refreshment huts and packed in fanzone.Draught beer on and any other improvements made if required.

Absolutely spot on Ann. Recruitment for paid staff is probably ongoing ATM. Not an easy task recruiting in hospitality in the present climate.liverpoolann wrote: ↑Fri Jun 25, 2021 7:01 pm Well it always was going to be eventually run by staff paid for by club.Hospitality guy presumably liaising re numbers etc required with club having evaluated the trust run test events.Never a convenient time to hand over baton so surely best to do now and get all sorted before the Bolton friendly when there will be a lot more people at game and refreshment huts and packed in fanzone.Draught beer on and any other improvements made if required.

If your that interested mate, go down for the Germany game and count the plastic pints. Obviously it’s second hand information she heard from someone who works at the club

Crying shame it’s not open for Tuesdays huge match, surely it would sell out & raise a decent payday for the club?
Why can’t the new Hospitality fella run it with the trusts assistance as a soft type of transfer?

Tuesday with a 5:00 ko is probably the issue. Would imagine it would be much easier to get the Trusts assistance who are essentially volunteers giving their time for no reward if the game was at a weekendmickmike wilson wrote: ↑Fri Jun 25, 2021 9:52 pm Crying shame it’s not open for Tuesdays huge match, surely it would sell out & raise a decent payday for the club?

If that was the case it surely would have been mentioned in the statement.Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Fri Jun 25, 2021 10:05 pmTuesday with a 5:00 ko is probably the issue. Re: Fanzone Closed Till Bolton Match
Barrow raiders screen sold out , holker old boys screen sold out. Holker put an extra 50 tickets out sold in 10 mins stop making excuses for the in defensible. Liverpool Ann we are a professional business that pays thousands on a weekly basis to professional athletes. We have gone so far past the point to which volunteers should be needed for basic club functions. Its great people volunteer , but are we in the position to not cash in for 4 potentially massive pay days? when we still make loses year upon year. This is easy easy money lost.Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Fri Jun 25, 2021 10:05 pmTuesday with a 5:00 ko is probably the issue. Take your point but not sure what the full capacity at fanzone is inside and out and given ko time not everyone still on furlough so staffing could be problem as assume they are interviewing for catering staff.would like an update from our new hospitality manager.

Re: Fanzone Closed Till Bolton Match
As I’m quite interested in this thread I’ve temporarily unblocked PerthBluebird
and he makes very valid points. When you get a set up like HOBs (nothing against them but at the end of the day they ARE a club run by volunteers) selling that many places as soon as they go up for grabs you have to think that this has been a huge opportunity wasted for us as a club to bring in at least some cash.
Tuesday would’ve been rammed, not only that you have a group of people you could’ve been selling merchandise to….the shirts were launched last night, what a time to be selling them in a Fanzone to a captive audience.
Massive own goal here, and it’s hard to understand.
