And UK residents will be able to purchase match passes for midweek away games - 3pm Saturday games will be audio pass only in the UK

I would ask why is iFollow likely to revert to how it was,who is going to lose out financially if all games were on iFollow,it creates interest down the footballing pyramid and act as an extra revenue stream for clubs it’s not going to stop fans going to miss home games as we all desperate to see our teams in action and while I wouldn’t want to go to Exeter I am happy to pay a tenner to see my team in action and yes that money goes to Exeter but I’m sure there would be plenty of Exeter fans that would pay to watch them at Holker Street although travel is permitted surely if there were more people watching on iFollow and less travelling then that has to be better for containing the virus while giving clubs that extra revenue stream to help them get over the pandemic

This is why IFollow will revert to how it was.

The football blackout is a rule which means no match from the Premier League, FA Cup or Football League can be televised between 2.45pm and 5.15pm.
The rule originated in the 1960s when then-Burnley chairman Bob Lord argued that having 3pm matches on TV would negatively affect the attendance of lower league matches.
Now, more than 40 years on, the rule is still in place - discounting last season and post-lockdown fixtures of the season before last.
However, live radio broadcasts are allowed, and they are a common way for supporters to keep up to date with the action.
The UK is actually the only country to observe the blackout of 3pm kick-offs on a Saturday.

And presumably we will be able to register on the away team's website, and thereby watch our midweek home matches. Useful for those of us who live some distance from Barrow.

The world has changed enormously since in 60’s time to change the laws to reflect today’s society imho

Can we get some confirmation from the club what is going to be happening to iFollow this coming season,remember iFollow is something that was devised by the EFL and has shown it can generate money for clubs so I can’t see any EFL club voting against it,why stick with some antiquated rule that was set up in the 1960s by Bob Lord of Burnley as he was frightened it would affect home gates but as we have been starved of football for the last 18 months then we are desperate to go to home games and bear in mind there was no internet and no streams then so it makes sense to bring the rules up to date,so a win win for all EFL clubs with the proviso that any televised games can’t be on iFollow.

No decision has been made by the EFL yet as far as I am aware.

The FSA (Football Supporters Association) are still trying to find out what is going on.

The match by match streaming and season ticket offer is a TEMPORARY measure that has only been put in place whilst Clubs operate at a zero or reduced capacity as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and will be subject to regular review with the first set for early October. Subject to Clubs choosing to provide access to Season Ticket holders this is only available if supporters purchase their 2020/21 ticket by October 4.
