From the Club website Chairman Paul Hornby added as soon as Scott expressed his desire to move away from Barrow, we concluded a deal to suit all parties.

This is a big blow to Barrow on the eve of a new season. We saw last year with the loss of Rooney how we stuggled in midfiend. To lose Quiggley who scored 35 goals in 78 is going to leave a massive hole. I hope our forwards do well but none of them has shown themselves to be prolific preveously. Its disappointing to lose arguably our best two players to a non league club.

I agree although the loss of Rooney was far greater than the loss of Quigley will be IMO. However, it will still be difficult to replaced your top goalscorer even if, IMO, he didn't play anywhere near as well last season as he did the season before. As you say very disappointing to lose players to clubs a level below us.

This "closer to home" rubbish is an excuse no professional footballer should be trotting out. He's getting a good wedge at Stockport. Money talks. Let's not overcomplicate things. A once a fortnight trip up to Barrow is hardly too much to ask.

We did well out of the deal & it’s certainly a lot more than nothing.

In recent times we only sold a player every 10 yrs or So & very rarely bought any, Look where we are today, We’ve sold around 7 or 8 players in the last few seasons for decent money & if you said to me that clubs like Wrexham, Stockport & Shrewsbury would be vying for our players & paying for them you’d have been certified.

It’s normal business buying or selling players & I’m sure the club are exploring all avenues to replace him from the same day Quiggs admitted he wants away.

I’m quietly confident we will do better than last season & are still moving in the right direction overall.

It obvious he’s gone for the money. Not having the less travelling excuse.
He fell over too much last season for my liking. He can’t head a ball and never he passes when he really should. Hope Stockport don’t get promoted. Not bitter. Good luck to him.

Quigley did a good job but is disrespectful to Barrow with his excuses.
Scott it's your prerogative to leave but please spare us the excuses next we will hear you are called Pinnocio.

Quiggs in a Barrow shirt - Great player, the reason we stayed up, you can see how much the club means to him.

Quiggs wants to leave (for whatever reason) - Money grabbing liar who falls over too much and doesn't pass.

This forum is [SwearFilter] weird. I stand by my original statement, thanks for everything Scott. If you moved for the money good on you, it's a short career; make the most of it.

Yes this. After seeing who his agent is I think we all should know by now who’s engineered this move (and yes obviously Quigs could have refused)
