Re: Mark Cooper
Thanks for this Adam, it's embarrassing that we've got such an inspirational manager in Mark and we immediately let him down with inadequate facilities, I know this is being rectified but if we want to reach league one ( not my word's) we have to get our infrastructure much better and our decision making has to be more professional, I don't know how these decisions are made but we seriously need to get our act together moving forward !Adam29 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 06, 2021 6:41 pm https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p09rk25g

Re: Mark Cooper
Well, we haven't "let him down" as such, have we? He must have known when he accepted the appointment what the training facilities were.whitty1969 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 07, 2021 11:11 am100% correct there Nige. We need to up our game massively off the fieldblue nige wrote: ↑Sat Aug 07, 2021 11:05 am

Re: Mark Cooper
Great interview with Mark.
A bit off tangent but on the subject of the last couple of posts - has anyone on the board got experience running football side of things as opposed to a purely business background? This is no way a criticism of those in place at the moment but in scenarios like we've had with the training ground it makes you think that this is something we are badly missing.

Re: Mark Cooper
I don't think when you have an interview that he would have to ask about training facilities as surely any half decent club would have had these in place! it's pretty obvious he DIDN'T KNOW about this situation as after all these weeks it still wrankles with him!MisterPleasant wrote: ↑Sat Aug 07, 2021 11:35 amWell, we haven't "let him down" as such, have we? What happened to the training facilities we used to have?
Re: Mark Cooper
You're suggesting the club misled him about training facilities?blue nige wrote: ↑Sat Aug 07, 2021 12:30 pmI don't think when you have an interview that he would have to ask about training facilities as surely any half decent club would have had these in place! it's pretty obvious he DIDN'T KNOW about this situation as after all these weeks it still wrankles with him!MisterPleasant wrote: ↑Sat Aug 07, 2021 11:35 am

I’m guessing Hetherington was more the actual football man on the board before he leftMatty wrote: ↑Sat Aug 07, 2021 12:21 pm Great interview with Mark.

Re: Mark Cooper
None - absolutely none. Some great businessmen on the board but not one has experience in football. Compound that with a CEO that has never run a business or played football (yet runs a football business...) and it's no wonder the club is now the shambles that it is.Matty wrote: ↑Sat Aug 07, 2021 12:21 pm Great interview with Mark.

Who actually sorted out the training facility and physio?

When you spend the vast majority of your working week at the training facility you think that wouldn't have been discussed?!blue nige wrote: ↑Sat Aug 07, 2021 12:30 pmI don't think when you have an interview that he would have to ask about training facilities as surely any half decent club would have had these in place! it's pretty obvious he DIDN'T KNOW about this situation as after all these weeks it still wrankles with him!MisterPleasant wrote: ↑Sat Aug 07, 2021 11:35 am

"It's pretty obvious he DIDN'T KNOW about this situation."
So either he was misled or he didn't think to ask - which is it?
Re: Mark Cooper
Yes he maybe could have asked where it was but I wouldn't blame him for assuming we actually had one.
