"It's pretty obvious he DIDN'T KNOW about this situation."

So either he was misled or he didn't think to ask - which is it?
Yes he maybe could have asked where it was but I wouldn't blame him for assuming we actually had one.
Exactly !

I do think MC wouldn’t have mentioned the issues if we had draw or won, deflecting defeat speak.

I’m glad he did mention them; people who don’t use this forum won’t be aware of the “issues” we’ve had

Ready made excuses for me, your division 2, get on with it. As a personal profile expert, I would have turned this into a plus, rather than a negative. Obviously hennynees your not a strong willed person.

You would have turned the fact we don’t have a training ground or a physio into a plus?

What a strange post!

Basically what you are suggesting is no one is allowed to be concerned or raise a question about what they see as a worrying situation (or situations) right in front of us?

So not having a physio in place, something is obviously wrong with the training facilities, we cancel our second PSF, and at the start of the season we kick it off with what is looking like a weak attack but we have to turn that into a positive?
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Of course it’s not ideal, but all three have happened due to situations out of the clubs control , don’t you agree, they will all be corrected but this will take time. Many clubs have early season problems like this, you gotta get on with it. For what it’s worth, the lack of a replacement target man before the season started really bugs me, but MC has spoke on it.

I’m not having a go for the sake of it but surely these things are possibilities for any club and they have to be prepared for them happening.

The physio situation is (was) really serious, no physio with the correct qualifications - no game…league or friendly.
Training facilities, this seems a basic thing, we’re an EFL club & we simply should not be struggling with this a game into the season.
Second PSF cancelled because of injuries…I don’t think I can ever remember that happening before. Did this (and I have no idea if this is right) have anything to do with the physio situation?
Lack of a proven striker, now I’m not saying go out and get anyone, he has to be the right person but we aren’t the only club to have come up against this before, it’s not like it was a total surprise Quigley was leaving.

I know there will be a lot of work going on to try and rectify these issues - so fingers crossed it happens sooner rather than later.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

But your blaming the club, the training facilities which were to be used originally ,the agreement that was in place was cancelled due to the fact it had been double booked,Barrows fault? No, the physio left with immediate effect, without serving any notice, the club then had no physio for the friendly so it was thought safer to cancel it.Barrows fault? No. The Quigley thing we all know, it’s this one point that does slightly anger me.

So we are behind the eight ball before the season started. Listening to Cooper after Stevenage it sounds like it’s a damage limitation exercise until September when hopefully the training facilities are ready. Not being funny but unless Cooper gets what he wants he won’t hang around if a job becomes available that takes his fancy.

If this isn`t sorted who could blame Cooper for leaving, he could lose his first 10 games but we could not afford to sack him.

We've lost ONE game. 9 teams in L2 failed to score yesterday including Bradford who have signed a 'big' striker. Cooper is happy with the new training facilities, he has said he is happy with the squad; will only add a couple more who are better than what we've got; and has said all along he will wait to the dying embers of the transfer window to pick up bargains (his choice, not the board's). He's not going to walk out.
To use the vernacular: 'take a chill pill'.
Don't let the old man in.

The training facilities were double booked…really? Well even if they were (which I seriously doubt) I’d be asking the question of why we’re dealing with an outfit that can make such a basic mistake for such an important part of an EFL clubs season.
Regarding the physio leaving with immediate effect, I do wonder why he felt like he had to do that.

End of the day we all want what’s best for the club, but I think sometimes we have to admit mistakes are being made. We also need to remember we’ve had a full season to plan for two scenarios - one L2 football and one NL football.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Because he was offered a job at a big club during their pre-season and wanted to join straight away?

That might be the case but doesn't excuse the absolute farce of the training facilities, which in turn leads to players being ill prepared for a new season, whoever got us into this mess at least should admit to it but instead we get the ,"usual suspects " closing ranks to cover that person's obvious shortcomings, one of the problems that appears to be blatantly obvious is that we have no one on board who has experience of running an EFL club ( I don't mean at Coopers level)
