I’ll never understand the mindset of some Barrow fans and then you've got others like yourself already hiking up the ticket prices to take advantage of fan interest in this. Unbelievable.
Most of the posts on this forum for the last month or so have been around the need to sign a striker to replace Quigley. Good Strikers don’t come cheap; we have a chance to make a decent amount of unexpected money which could then boost the transfer/wages kitty to bring in a decent loan striker at worst………

Visiting Villa fan here folks, I'd be surprised if we were arrogant enough to think we could just pitch up with a youth team and think we can ease our way through. In the past, we've fielded a mix of youth and fringe squad players in the earlier cup rounds as do many clubs. This year will most likely be a bit different in so far as we have quite a few players returning from foreign tournaments, injury, the Olympics etc who will quite likely be ready for match minutes around the time of this tie. We will easily sell out any allocation we're given irrespective of distance etc, Holker St is a ground I'd love to visit but with 30k season ticket holders in front of me, no chance I'll get a ticket ! I'd like to see us forego our 45% ticket money share (as I believe we've done in the past). I'm sure you'll sell out no problem and hopefully its a TV game so more of us get to see it and you get a nice few quid.....good luck for the season, apart from this game !

Whatever your logic i don’t agree with it. Gobsmacked. These are Football fans who spend a fortune following their team and now you want to squeeze them for a few quid more because we have drawn a big side and there is bound to be a lot of interest. Yes get the merch out, yes make a souvenir programme (i draw a line at half and half scarfs) but to even think about squeezing more out of fans in ticket prices- absolutely no.

The odds are this will be televised. I am not sure how much that is worth but the Sky televised Carabao games are also broadcast in Asia. There must be a few quid in it and then there will be all the Barrow shirt sales in Singapore, Hong Kong and China

we are here. My wife (and all her family ) are Villa fans and some season ticket holders and she is seriously not happy with the draw!!! A divorce might be pending. I'm over the moon with the draw. Either way we can't lose and if we get Sky even better.

We have an ex Villa youth team player with us Dimitri Sea who got our winner last night to put us through to this round. Plus an ex Blue (I know you love them) Rameno Hutton

Gate receipts about 5,500 x £20 = £110,000. 45% of that is £49,500.
About a day wages for Greasy ratboy from the mancs.

That should be fun for your family. At least if you lose you can pretend to be all upset and maybe get some sympathy sex.

It is good to see ex Blues do well when they leave. I would love to see him score a hattrick every game and go to Man City for a 110m. They would be sick

As Grant Holte End said earlier, Villa have previously given up their 45% when playing much lower league opposition in the past. Hopefully, we will do it again and that will push that to 200k+. Then add merchandising and beer sales on the night and TV money and it might be a nice payday. In the next round, you may get lucky and get an away tie to a PL team and get 45% of a 40,000 crowd.

Not sure we will have to give them that amount of tickets, think they will only get the normal away section.
Why would they give that end to Villa when it will sell out with Barrow fans. Bloody hell we wait years for games like these. They’ll get the away allocation of 650 odd and thats their lot. Barrow fans will take up the rest.
They get 10% so the 655 is a tad higher than 10% so that’s their lot, The rest are for home fans…..Buzzing with the fixture woot woot.

Think it's 10% minimum allocation for away fans in Carabao Cup, but dependent on segregation and police advice it can be bigger. Essentially, if you have an area that holds 700 fans securely, you'd give the away team all of it rather than trying to give them 550 and segregate the other 150..
