Good game and both sets of supporters should of gone away relatively happy!
Think the supporters are experiencing the same difficulties the players went through last season and are slowly adjusting after the covid hiatus.
All our main strikers scoring but once again we pick up knocks with Demi Sea having now to sit out due to the concussion protocols. Hopefully Tom White shakes off his knock and Ofrande Zinzala was just a match fitness issue.

Need to think about extending the sprinkler system so we have one which plays on the divide between home and away fans. Any fans of either side know they will get wet if they go into the neutral zone between fans.

Wouldn’t call it an over reaction at all. When I can’t stand where I’ve stood previously because of barrows finest barging me and my young kids out the way something needs saying. Chanting and winding up opposition fans is all good fun but wanting a scrap with someone because you can give it but not take it is pathetic

what happened on Devonshire Road? Walked along there pre-match, but went the opposite way afterwards.
I was walking past the Tally Ho on my way home and a police personnel carry went screaming in there to sort out something.
Good job somebody had the foresight to get a good police presence there.

There was a good presence of stewards but they were coming under tremendous pressure until the police appeared. One nutter from each side came down to the front and started with their fists.

Great game that today; and tbh it was made better by a noisy away support. The Hartlepool 7 is exactly the type of player Cooper keeps suggesting we need on loan; lively all game and keen to prove himself on loan from a Championship club. Tom White excellent once again and Cowps knows what Ollie Banks has done this summer but he’s started off like the player we expected to sign in Jan, he’s playmaking and winning tackles and headers. Mark Ellis is a proper Barrow centre half, he’ll head anything and boot it into row z when needed but can play a bit as well
We are not quite there, the signs are really promising but I genuinely think we are 2/3 players away from a really good team (Platt coming into the 3 centre backs and actually staying fit would be one of them)

It’s a justified whinge. The clown from Barrow head butting the screen was embarrassing and sections of away fans were the same. Barriers need fixing either side of the screen. If we don’t learn from this It will end in major disorder and like it or not put some people off from attending.

I personally thought the size of the crowd was quite good today. Ok other clubs in this league get far more but we need to build the level of support through performances on the pitch. Villa will hopefully help with our exposure and If we put on a good show, even some of those watching on sky might be tempted along. Rome wasnt built in a day and it's not so long ago that we were satisfied with anything above 1000 in the national league. People will support a winning team irrespective of the division we are in.

Great to see the fanzone busy with loads buying tickets etc, shop was busy too.
Decent enough game which seemed to just open up after Zanzalas goal.
2 defensive mistakes for us, Great to see all 3 goals coming from strikers.
Josh Gordon rightly named MOM by the sponsors.
Mark Ellis must of been right behind him. Another captains performance.
White/banks decent too.
Great 3 pts but injuries piling up. Sea pulled up with hamstring and white struggling late on.
Friendly warning for the bottle thrower in the HS end. That CCTV is such good quality it can see how many hairs you have on your chin.....Don't be getting a ban....
Correct on the cctv front, think a few of their fans will be getting a knock on the door.lol

Didn’t think Hartlepool fans could embarrass themselves more than when they turned up the other year looking like the cast on opening night at the worlds shittest pantomime. Came across like Danny Dyer’s pleasure sock, thought they were hard but just a little bit crusty. Presume they were giving it mouth in the Baz Arms before kick off.
Should have won the game easier and Cooper won’t be happy we conceded two goals against a poor side like that. Looked every bit a non league side playing above their level and trying to cheat a win. Don’t think we’ve hit our stride yet but we are improving every game. We’ll be a hard team to beat and should be a more comfortable season. Didn’t see any trouble after the game, just them sulking off with no points again.
I wanna take you to an Away Bar

Our own ferals were making embarrassments of themselves on Holker Street and Chatsworth Street post-match.

More importantly, a great match, pleasing result, promising signings, similar feeling to Xerxes but a disappointing attendance.

Had another 160 people been there, nobody would be mentioning the attendance.

I know the roughly 2,200 odd from Furness was not as good as a lot thought it should have been but at least its something to build on because if they keep picking up the points the attendances will surely grow.
I saw a lot of new faces there today-I just hope we can hold onto them because I noticed that a lot of regulars from last season were just not there today, they cant be 'all', on holiday!.
What worries me is that the investment that went into building this side might well be not forthcoming next year if the Furness public don't back the club.

Do we not sell tickets for the full stand anymore? The “BAR” half looked really quite empty but everyone seemed to be over in the “ROW” half

Be interesting to know how the crowd total is calculated? I went through with my season ticket and it wouldn’t scan so the young kid let me through. My mate followed and the same with him? Great game and atmosphere. Really shows how far we’ve come in the last 5-6 years!
